For how long have you played on CG SCP:
I will have been playing for a month as of today, and have 2 weeks and 3 days in-game.
Age:
18
In what country are you located?:
USA
Time zone:
CST
Character name(s):
Barry "Legate"
Civilian name:
"James Grainger"
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA):
SCP-RP USA
Do you have a mic?:
Yes
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
Internal Affairs Ambassador and Director, and Ethics Assistant
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
No
What Ethics Committee role are you applying for, and why:
I'm willing to do whatever is tasked of me, but being the head of Internal Affairs in the Ethics Committee sounds amazing, as I get to continue my career within the Department.
What makes you the best candidate for the Ethics Committee?:
Being Department Director of Internal Affairs has allowed me to work closely with the Ethics Committee, and have time to study and learn the Code of Ethics. Working along side good role models within The Committee has bolstered my abilities to lead within my department. Moving up to Ethics Committee would allow more leadership roles to open up within Internal Affairs, and allow more things to get done. Internal Affairs is in need of good leadership, all the way up to command, and this would allow change to occur tenfold.
What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee in RP?:
The Ethics Committee looks over each department of the Foundation, and executes their plans and wishes through a Department Director. Another role is keeping watch over any behavior and making sure they follow the Code of Ethics. The Committee also assumes command over O-1, who enforce the Code of Ethics and do any job asked of them by The Committee. Research and Tests are also to be approved or denied by Ethics Committee Members, after deciding if the test is humane, safe, and necessary. The Committee also votes on bills and decisions, either in regards to The Committee, or other departments. Big ideas and changes are brought to the Ethics Committee, who then decide if the change or idea is in the best interest of the facility.
What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee out of RP (e.g. what applications do they handle?):
The most important role for the Ethics Committee is to make sure the entire Facility is having the best role play experience possible, while also maintaining order and humanitarianism. It is up to the Committee member to implement policies to prevent negativity, whilst also assigning jobs and tasks for the corresponding personnel, which leads to more activity, and more general positivity over the department as a whole. Ethics Committee members also have final say in accepting or denying applications for Directors of Internal Affairs and Medicine.
Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Barry is an Irish immigrant who climbed the ranks of the CIA, and became a well known detective. Barry was met by mysterious men looking for Agents to perform highly classified tasks. Barry accepted his invitation, and started as a GenSec Cadet and shortly became an Officer and received his RRT license. After he became more experienced, he got the title of Agent, and started his mission to stop unethical behavior in the Foundation. Barry will be involved with as much as he will be allowed to and will continue taking cases and pursuing those who do the Foundation harm. Barry was promoted to Ambassador and continued to work on his reports until he was summoned by The Ethics Committee. As he arrived, the complimented the work he had done and offered him temporary control of the Internal Affairs Department. Barry accepted and has used his new role to go even farther beyond the call of duty. His work, effort, and knowledge have all increased tenfold, but so has his enjoyment. Barry participated in Heavy Weapons Training, along with many GenSec members, and scored higher on the test than any other attendee. Barry now holds the official position of Director of Internal Affairs, and is currently strengthening and bolstering his Department. Barry has spent a lot of time with his bosses in the Ethics Committee, and decided to apply for a more serious position within their ranks. Barry will use this newfound role to help bolster his Department even more effectively than before, and carry out missions and tasks for his bosses to enforce the Code of Ethics upon those who seek to violate it.
Barry has been involved with keeping up the humanity and ethicality within the facility for a long time now. Many situations has lead to his belief in the Code of Ethics to bolster. Barry strives to enforce the Code as effectively as possible. Being Director and Assistant has certain limits, and Barry wishes to overcome those limits. From Agent, to Ambassador, Director and Assistant, Barry has put extensive amounts of work and care into what he does. Mr. Barry looks forward to the future of the Facility, and looks for any possible way to use his abilities for the good of the Foundation.
