Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?: I have received a few FRP warnings when I first joined and one RDM warning the very first day I joined due to me not understanding the rules. I also received a verbal warning recently as there was a D-class disguised as A-1 that was camping elevators and I meta gamed as he just killed me twice and was still camping the security sector elevators. I killed this D-Class and went into a sit where we made up and it’s all cool now : ).
Why are you applying for Executive Researcher? I'm looking to improve my standing within the foundation and I absolutely love the research department so I believe it's the best way I can improve my standing and look after my favourite department. Furthermore I’ve done every test I can think of with the SCPs in my clearance level and I believe that since I mostly just help people nowadays anyway I should do that in a more official position. Furthermore I also intend to climb the ranks and become DoR someday in the coming months as I had previously nearly became DoR however my application was denied as the position was filled just before i applied. When i eventually do climb the ranks I intend to change the site as a whole. By this I mean I'd like to make the rules more lenient to the point where maybe a silly little lecture could be held if it's not too far-fetched but not to the point where its chaos. In short I'd like to use an executive position as a stepping stone so I can climb the ranks so I can make the server more enjoyable while still remaing a serious RP server.
What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?: I'm actually an ex-Executive Researcher however I was kicked due to inactivity as I had a lot of things in my life I needed to sort out furthermore I also wanted to weaponise SCP-939 to be used in a MTF unit which I was not aware was an ant-Foundation concept however I’ve been there and done that and I’m done with it. I've also had more than half a year’s worth of Sr. Researcher experience and I've been playing the server for quite a while so I know the department like the back of my hand. I also quite nearly became DoR however when I applied the position was filled : ). I also have pretty good leadership skills and I can establish order and command a room quite well, I’m not afraid to punish those who don’t follow commands but at the same I know what I am and aren’t allowed to do and the limits to this role. I try to systematically break down a situation so I can delegate tasks between my co-workers when I was a part of the now disbanded “The Queen’s Researchers” and “The Crushing Hand” both are no longer active research squads with TQR being for general research and TCH being for termination attempts. I’m also not afraid to confront my superiors/colleagues if I feel that they are being unjust to those of a lower standing than themselves. However I make it a point to avoid arguing and always to try to reason with them as I believe petty squabbles are below the research department.
How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?
I'm not entirely sure as I never really check them because I don't believe a grade reflects someone's documentation ability. However of the around 6 I've uploaded since creating Exercitus I believe I've gotten 4 excellent and one good grade and the other one is either good or excellent. Since I’ve been playing I don’t believe I’ve ever gotten lower than an average. What makes a document excellent is a high standard of spelling and grammar, possible future tests or actual uses/clear findings from the test, decently lengthy and well it being detailed as well as well formatted.
What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?:
An executive research maintains and uphold the standards of the Research Department they also ensure all new researchers are aware of and educated on the CoE and CoC. Furthermore train new researchers in documentation and to give them orientation they also assist new researchers in documentation and tests. They also grade documentation and ensure the rewards corresponding to the grade received are given to the publishing researcher. Executives also help IA when a researcher steps out of line. Finally executives handle bans in the research department ensuring all bans are deserved and not just handed out when someone has a bad day.
Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in: When looking into the cheery Benjamin Knight’s past you will only get so far back, and it seems that the harder you look, the less you know. He has no known family and very few known associates which no one can seem to find. He for some reason always has an idea on how to terminate or permanently contain any animate SCP he knows about by ANY means necessary meaning that as long as his plan will prevent more harm than it will cause in his mind it’s worth it. Though he always has an idea on how to terminate or permanently contain any animate SCP he knows about, that doesn’t mean he’d like to, in fact he rarely submits termination requests and only ever does if he believes that the SCP is dangerous and nothing more can be learned from it and on the rare occasion he does submit a termination request he always signs it off with his saying “Pain is the pathway to freedom”. Though his past is unclear there exists a Chaos Insurgency prisoner file entitled to “Benny the Butcher” it reads that there was once a prisoner of the Chaos Insurgency that was captured at a SCP-096 containment breach area where there was one survivor on the property and after capture they attempted to break the mind of this unusually cheerful prisoner and he was forced to torture whoever he was told to this included SCP staff, GOC soldiers and even attempted CI defectives for information, while torturing these poor souls he would repeat the phrase “Pain is the pathway to freedom”. He actually got along quite well with many of his jailers however he had some sort of grudge with the guard assigned to his cell. When he attempted to resist they threatened to use his own methods on him. One day during a SCP Foundation raid on the Chaos insurgency FOB he slipped away but the CI soldier in charge of watching his cell was found strung up with his own organs and it is believed that Benny the Butcher is responsible. Though we cannot prove that Benjamin Knight is Benny the Butcher he does normally go by Benny, use a lot of the same phrases as Benny the Butcher and openly admits to having “frenemies” in the Chaos Insurgency. Though many people have asked if this is him Benjamin Knight always switches the topic and finds a way to slip away. Benjamin Knight joined up with the foundation in early 2010 and has worked on countless SCPs in his time. He has worked alongside the Foundation’s elites such as Dr Bright and Dr Alto Clef. He has never failed a termination attempt and in 2016 he began his work on SCP-1437 an SCP which allows us to communicate with other SCP foundations in other universes. One day dimension R-42 sent its first and last transmission. This is how Benjamin Knight learned of SCP-001 “Humanity”. He now spends his days upholding the research department and researching ways to stop this Paradox-Apollyon class SCP from causing a ZK-class end of the multiverse scenario before it is too late.
