What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Get PACs rechecked and add better quality control

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
Not as i know of

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
Better server FPS and ping
Reduce PAC errors where you cant see there head or other body parts
Gives the ability to add more server intensive features (radios for example) due to the server running better with more optimised pacs

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
More effort on the server staff when it comes to pacs

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
If this suggestion is done the server will be able to run smoothly while people still being able to use pacs to make there characters unique. The only issue i can find with this suggestion is that server staff will have to check PACs being added making it take a bit longer for people to use there PACs. This issue is not bad enough to warrant it being denied due to the positive of the server being able to run smoothly outweighs the delay for PACs to be used.

Related point; I've heard from PAC users that GitHub can most reliably load content successfully, with the least transient degradation in server performance. If possible, I'd argue for GitHub and Imgur to be the only whitelisted sites for PAC assets from now on.

a lot of the lag comes from people who try and use dropbox, site needs to get blacklisted asap

Given PAC3 is a monthly £8 subscription, just have CN host the PAC content themselves 💀

Thanks for taking the time to make this suggestion @Zenlet

I think the main focus of this is to ensure players optimise their PAC3s themselves, as majority of them are poorly optimised and have bloat when importing, which could attribute to some possible FPS drop when loading their pac in.
We already have procedures in place for staff to follow and enforce if PAC3s are actively contributing to significant and notable lag on server, and obviously PAC3 approvals when people want to use their PAC3s in game.

We will ensure a more thorough approval and denial system to make sure PAC3s maintain a quality we want to uphold, and to re-enforce the procedures staff are meant to follow when dealing with poorly optimised and unapproved PAC3s.

An active discussion is on-going with SSL and NL regarding certain whitelisted links possibly causing lag, but from what we've seen so far is purely players failing to correctly import and optimise their PAC3s.

Thanks.
