Why are you applying for Deputy Director of Research?
- I love the research department and I'm not ready to leave research yet, Deputy Director is the obvious next step. I really care about the department as a whole and moving up will give me more influence. I often have really cool and fun ideas for the overall department that I think would make some aspects of the department a little more practical and efficient. Things like mainlining important information to newer researchers so they don't stumble so much when trying to test. I'm constantly teaching others in the department on how to be better researchers in general, but I've also been teaching and creating resources for others to be better teachers.
What makes you suitable for Deputy Director of Research?:
- I'm active pretty much every day and most of that time is spent on research. The thing that I want to see in a leader of any department is conviction. In the sense that I want my leaders to love what they do because they will always make sure its done right. I'm in research every day because I love everything about the allure of top secret creatures that even our own personnel cant know about. This server is a god send in my opinion the interactable environment is really cool to experiment with. As executive researcher I stay updated on the code of ethics and always uphold it in all tests I see.
What are the responsibilities of the Deputy Director of Research in RP?:
- The Deputy of Research essentially has the same job as Executives except they take on more responsibility. As department leads the deputy DOR is tasked with working directly with the current DOR, to assist in decision making and day to day management of the department. DOR are in direct contact with high command, to help communicate, work together, and organize a better research department. They are tasked with managing and delegating high clearance/department admin projects in order to improve the department.
Please give some lore about your Director of Research character and what storylines they would be involved in:
It was just like any other day in the facility. He went through all the normal security protocols as usual. He walked through the same halls with the same picture frames passing by as usual. But something felt off, something Dr. Bonez couldn't quite put his finger on. He'd describe it as "deja vu". Understandable considering the repetition of daily office life. But no this feeling felt a little more than that almost like he could remember the exact day. Dr. Bonez approached his desk to start on his daily review of test proposals. Only for whatever reason to his surprise Bonez's log in credentials were denied. How could this be was he fired? No. Was he hacked? Impossible. Several attempts were made to access the system and all were met with a flashing red notification labeled "ACCESS DENIED". "I've had the same god damn password for 10 years. WHO THE HELL HAS BEEN ON MY COMPUTER!!" Amidst the confusion and frustration Dr. Bonez's pager rings violently. It reads "HEAD TO HEAVY CONTAINMENT ASAP" and its from high command. Dr. Bonez rushed to the checkpoint trying to keep his composure through the rushed confusion. His feet dig intro the ground as he slows himself down to greet the checkpoint personnel. Before any words can escape his mouth he's quickly pinned to the ground and restrained. Of course Dr. Bonez didn't know how to react they gagged and blindfolded him got him to his feet and got moving. But he knew these halls well, he could still tell where they were going. After being dragged through the heavy containment zone by security they unrestrained Dr. Bonez revealing the unspecialized containment zone. Only he's inside the containment cell. "what is the meaning of this?!" his eyes narrowed to the group of well dressed personnel staring him down from the corner of the room. "OH MY GOD FINALLY BIGGZ" Dr.bonez's head swivels towards the containment cell to his left and there stand an adolescent male with blonde hair and green eyes who seemed way to happy to be in a containment cell. "THIS IS THE GUY I WAS TALKING ABOUT HE WAS THE DOWNFALL OF YOUR SITE IN MY REALITY!".
I came up with this as I went, but the scp related is based on interdimensional travel SCP-507. The idea is he witnessed a dark reality while contained and accidentally shifted to our dimension. Its a whole struggle of can u trust the high clearance doctor that fucked up the facility in another reality?
