Hey everyone. Most of you probably dont remember me. But i used to play MRP a few years ago with some of you who are reading this post.

Now i know what you are going to think. "Oh this guy is here to complain to bring back his dead server". Let me be clear. No. I am not here to beg. Nor am i here to complain. i'd just like to share some of my memories, opinions and thoughts about MRP while it was still alive and hopefully get the attention of someone that has the ability to maybe discuss the possibility of bringing it back. Hope dies last.

We all know that MRP had its issues. But It also had a lot of potential for funny moments or coordinated gameplay. I have some of my best memories just goofing around with my regiment and it really made me happy that i found a genuine caring community where i could fuck around and find out. Of course when the time came for war it was genuinely interesting to come up with tactics and it was a blast when it actually worked.

Some of the Cons i faced during my time in MRP was the fact that sometimes leadership was lacking from Either or both sides and it made it genuienly unfair in favor of the side that had more people or experienced leaders. We could also talk about balancing which sometimes was really bad and it gave 1 side a major advantage.
Also i feel like a lot of the things that made MRP fun was slowly phased out or changed to a point where it was genuinely unfun to play. Hot take: Like the Hellfire missiles on Helis. Was it unfair? Maybe. Did it give helicopters a huge advantage. Yes. Were the Heli stocks limited? YES. And that is what gave risk to losing a heli. Being unable to push a point because theres literally no overwhelming advantage isnt fun. Go in die repeat. Go in die repeat. And that gameplay loop gets very boring for everyone. Sometimes when something is OP its not a bad thing. But it must be balanced in the grand scheme of the gameplay itself in order to be able to flip the outcome of a war. This is just one example. There was also the issues of guns being unbalanced and maps being really difficult to balance. And i also feel like that MRP was abbandoned by its creators or the people that made the updates. Its like they didnt even care anymore. After a while there was nothing new or old that was reintroduced or brought in to keep the game fresh. It was destined to fail after there was no care or thought put into keeping the gameplay interesting. A lot of people left and for good reason. But this doesnt mean MRP doesnt have a chance or future.

I could go on and on about my thoughts and opinions on what was bad but that doesnt define MRP as a whole. And of course everyone has their opinions.

But enough of the Cons and lets talk about the Pros a bit. It was honestly sometimes a blast to play and to get to know new people that were interested in the same regiment and or same topics. The memories of goofing around and just cracking inside jokes still make me laugh to this day. (The Crane - Shoutout to the homies who know) Yes the gameplay loop sometimes was ass but when everyone did their part and there was no overwhelming odds it was genuinely fun to finnaly take control of an objective or take down a Tank with a grenade and getting either a close hard war or a stalemate with both sides winning and losing something. Also as i mentioned before with strategic thinking and well thought out plans it was a blast to get them in motion and when it actually succeded. I have a shit ton of clips with hilarious moments of building FOB's or just fucking around in base before or after war. And the RP scenarios (ones that were not for punishment) were actually really fun to play out. Like infiltrating the enemy base and its just you 3 other guys and the entire enemy base on your ass.
I coud probably talk more about the fun stuff but i was really glad i got to meet a lot of you and i'd like to have the same opportunity in the future to enjoy MRP with improvements to the original gameplay. Or having a more balanced gameplay. Gameplay wise i'd just like MRP to be fun again. not unfair. Be daring. Try new formulas. New vehicles. New guns. Something to keep it fresh and fun.

I kinda got a bit of brainfog in this last paragraph but i think some of you might get what i mean. And again this is just my opinion on the matter and you're welcome to disagree or agree respectfully. This isnt a complaint nor am i begging. This is a love letter to MRP and its people. Make MRP Fun Again. And i bet a lot of people would love to play on the server again.

Thank you to everyone i've met and made the MRP experience enjoyable for me and others. I'd like to see MRP make a comeback sometime in the future.
