In what country are you located?: United Kingdom

Character name(s): Broda Kagen
Civilian name: Nathaniel Croft
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): UK Server
Do you have a mic?:
- Yes
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
- None
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
- None
Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?
- I am enjoying the roleplay surrounding the SCP Research department and want to expand further with it. I've been approached IC about it by a couple high ranking individuals who suggested I should go for this position. As a highly experienced roleplayer across many games, I feel I can add to the Research Department, and the server, by including people in story making and character progression. I am also aiming to form a Research team to tackle larger and more newer threats.
What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?:
- My experience with Roleplaying through games and D&D enables me to immerse myself in a role and explore the world that we are set in. I am a long time SCP fan and have followed the developments of SCP Lore and game developments for a few years. Finding a gmod SCP server for roleplay has been rather great for expanding my interest in the SCP world. I am an active player as I am fortunate enough to have free time during the day and some evenings, this would be of great benefit during the day as I believe roleplay can develop outside of the evening also.
How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?
- I currently have 1 Excellent Graded paper on my Skin Tissue sampling of SCP-096 and its potential Kevlar-like benefits if synthesised for the MTF.
A document being excellent must clearly demonstrate descriptive Aims/Method/Test/Conclusion and be a minimum of 4 Pages. Further detailing such as accurate spelling and grammar also prop the document up to this Excellent standard. By being unique it also stands out to Executives and Higher that you have an inquisitive imagination, which is fit for higher roles and story development.
What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?:
- The main responsibilities for an Executive Researcher in Roleplay would be acting as a guiding hand to those who are struggling with reports and their time in the Foundation. Encouraging and teaching via personal lessons or Department wide lectures also raises standards for our department. By acting as a role model, we can encourage others to follow in our footsteps so they to can one day rise to these ranks. An Executive can test on CL4 SCP's such as SCP-682 and SCP-079, From an OOC point of view, these two are not tested on enough and the storylines we can extract from their deep and complex lore can benefit not only the research department, but that of the entire server moving forward. Finally, as an Executive it is a responsibility to mark paperwork sent to us by Research personnel and give feedback when necessary to improve their quality of work in the future.
Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Formally British Special Forces, Broda Kagen aka "Nathaniel Croft" was an expert CQC specialist in the field. During his service under Her Majesty's Armed Forces, he developed a great respect for his brothers in the military and began to develop a skillset worthy enough to help enhance the survivability of military personnel in combat situations. In order to do this, he left the battlefield behind and proceeded to study at the University of Oxford under many prestigious tutors and Professors. During his final years studying through his doctorate, he was contacted by an Agent from the Foundation to enter into employment with them. Very little was said during the initial contact but the prospect intrigued him. Upon successful graduation with his Doctorate in Bio Sciences, Nathaniel Croft proceeded to contact the Foundation Agent on a supplied number. The following week went by and the induction was underway. Being stationed at Site-65 allowed Nathaniel Croft to pursue a career in studying the anomalous and adapting his own research in better protecting and equipping the Foundation Mobile Task Force.
To better protect his identity, he went by the name of Broda Kagen whilst in the facility premises. During his time as a Junior Researcher, he gained a high level of respect from the MTF stationed at Site-65 which bolstered his resolve to push further into the ranks of the Foundation to better his research. Working in the Foundation he was introduced to a colleague called Jeremy Siens and Duke, who shared similar interests in developing the anomalous to better humanity in the future. As Broda Kagen progressed through the Foundation, he has befriended multiple individuals from other Departments, such as Raoul Maot, which further bolstered synergy across departments for his research progress.
-----
Future Storylines I'd like to be involved in would be that of field trip experimentation outside the facility. Beyond that, research that has a server wide impact, For example, my current research into SCP-096 synthetic skin being developed for MTF personnel giving a select few "Tougher" Armor. But this also can backfire as the Chaos Insurgency can get their hands on such research and begin to replicate their own. Potential event if the research generates anything of merit. One core driving force for my own roleplay is enhancing others stories by helping them if they are in a predicament. Teaching newcomers and current staff is actually more of a hobby as it develops great social relationships within the Research team, stories can come from this as potential cross testing and new fresh ideas from fresh faces can enhance our general experience together.
