If SCPs aren't defending 079s CC then that's honestly a skill issue.

He does need some sort of buff but a turret ain't it

(If he was allowed to just hack the turret while not breached it would definitely be abused in the Once in a Blue moon scenario someone actually tests on 079)
How many times have you seen scp coordinating to defend 079 cc, the only times i see scp coordinated is to escape facility because of lobby turrets

and i do agree with niox that a good 079 can create a normal breach into a code black eventually with some support, but it takes a lot of hacking skill and knowledge of the map layout (since you wil be noclipping), and knowledge of map layout is not easy when noclipping since a lot of stuff dissapears from view
 
counterpoint: 079 should be able to deliver robot legs to itself so it can escape on foot and would function a bit more like 035 in that case

for this reason, also add accessible points around the map that allows 079 to go back into the normal 079 state while keeping its body at that point, able to return to it at will (sort of like spectate, you'd be able to noclip around and hack things, but you can't move the body in this state) - while this does sort of homogenise the SCPs in a way, in which 079 becomes les s of a pure support SCP as it'd be able to escape, it'd mean 079 isn't entirely reliant on other SCPs. however this would also detract from 035 a bit, as this gameplay loop would again, be similar
