Before anyone asks, I have consulted @Rackarain before posting this and he has given me the green light.
Why?
I've personally seen lots of complaints from GOC/CI that DEA is overpowered with the fact that they get tons of snipers, LMGs, etc. I've also seen complaints from people in DEA who get frustrated at the lack of coordination, the fact that anyone can join simply by just taking a test (meaning minges get in), and that no one joins the Teamspeak because it's not really required. Because of this, I have thought about making DEA into a Mobile Task Force named Titan-1.
What is Titan-1?
Mobile Task Force Titan-1 are deployed to safeguard VIPs and eliminate hostile groups of interest. They specialize in unconventional warfare, subterfuge, and fear tactics to throw enemies off-balance before raids. The task force itself is lore accurate and is an exact mirror image of DEA, but in the form of an MTF. Titan-1 does literally everything DEA does now, but in the form of an MTF.

What happens to DEA leadership?
DEA leadership would be restructured into the form of a Mobile Task Force to include COM, LTCOM, MAJ, so on and so forth. This would also see to it that leadership is more independent to the task force and people aren't doing things like being an Nu-7 Commander and a DEA Special Agent. This independence also removes any opportunity for bias (Not saying that there is some but it's just an added bonus).
Transferring to MTF Titan-1
If this is accepted, I'd imagine that DEA would get the opportunity to transfer into commissioned officer ranks and the department directors of DEA would become Titan-1 COM and LTCOM respectively.
- More coordination between DEA agents (teamspeak would be required since it's an MTF).
- Less minges because Titan-1 would obviously have tryouts.
- Would nerf what DEA is because Titan-1 would have seperate jobs with caps similar to Nu-7. Could have classes such as sniper, breacher, specialist, etc.
- Would promote accountability due to them being a more organized force.
- Better coordination could result in better cooperation with other MTFs. Everyone would be on the same page.
- Would still be under O5's jurisdiction.
- It'd be slightly challenging to get people in at first, but I'd imagine it'd pick up steam real quick.
If anyone has any feedback on this idea, or wishes to contribute to it feel free! This suggestion is not meant to attack anyone but more or less present an idea to help make it significantly better than it already is.
Mobile Task Force Titan-1
What does this suggestion change/add/remove?
This suggestion would see to it that the Department of External Affairs be changed into Mobile Task Force Titan-1.Why?

Possible Positives
- Independent leadership to promote departmental independence and unbiased thinking.- More coordination between DEA agents (teamspeak would be required since it's an MTF).
- Less minges because Titan-1 would obviously have tryouts.

- Would promote accountability due to them being a more organized force.

- Would still be under O5's jurisdiction.
Possible Negatives
- Some people would have to choose between MTF and becoming a CO for Titan-1.- It'd be slightly challenging to get people in at first, but I'd imagine it'd pick up steam real quick.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted?
As mentioned above, I've passively seen complaints here and there from people on a variety of things including how many snipers/LMGs DEA gets, etc. as well as some frustrations people have with coordination and whatnot. Changing DEA into a Mobile Task Force would have so many benefits for the department itself and for other people the department may be fighting. The biggest negative I can see is that some people would be forced to choose between the MTF they're already in and Titan-1 but like I said, I think this would be such a good change for DEA. I've proposed the idea to several people before posting it here and it was very well received. If anyone has any feedback on this idea, or wishes to contribute to it feel free!
