What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
This suggestion aims to change the access to the inner D-Block to Clearance Level 2, but give override access to GSD Cadets - Only asking to change the keypads in the pictures below

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
SCP-999 and SCP-2295 will no longer be able to open the inner D-Block to release prisoners or to enter D-Block

Jobs like Chef, Janitor, Junior Researcher, and others that don't NEED access to the inner D-Block but tend to mess around with it. So we will revoke their access.

For D-Class, they will still need a Clearance Level 2 keycard to open the airlock, but can use a Clearance Level 1 keycard on the other doors. So it shouldn't affect their gameplay loop and ability to escape.

All combative personnel, except those in GSD, are Clearance Level 3, so it shouldn't affect other combative departments.

From an in-character perspective, it would make sense, since the security of D-Class is vital for keeping the whole site secure, and this has been seen as one of the flaws IRP


Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
Somebody has to hop on the server and change the keypads?
Will stop slight minge RP?
(Edit: Will slightly hinder D-Class ability to release OTHER D-Class. And will slightly affect CI)

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
I believe it would be a great change overall, as it would stop people from messing around with the doors and releasing D-Class for no reason. It is something I have asked in the GSD Sergeant chat (UK) and have gotten positive reactions from Captains and the Chief of Security.

I will also mention that this change doesn't have to apply to both servers. It is something we are requesting on the UK side of things, only if not wanted by US

It is so easy for a level 0 to just hop onto Jr. Researcher and pop open the door and it causes chaos very quickly due to folks gathering in that area. I think leaving the airlock as CL1 is the right idea so D-Class can still escape as a balancing thing but these doors should be CL2 with Cadet override.
Its literally impossible for a level 0 to hop onto Jr.Researcher. Very possible for level 5's though.
