Why are you applying for Chief of Medicine?
All I do is play support. I've been slowly working my way up, and am now a Combat Medic. I want to do my part and help out the medical staff, as well as others.
What makes you suitable for Chief of Medicine?:
My experience alone makes me suitable as Chief. I know the ins and outs of being a part of the medical team and the standards we uphold. I even am working on a lecture to touch base with new trainees, as well as give experiences medical staff a bit of a refresher on what we do and how we do it! I am always reliable, as I am on site quite often, and I also abide by the rules and don't misuse our equipment like most others do. (Referring to the medics who are constantly giving away poison, amongst other things...)
Please explain an in-game medical procedure of your choice:
Seeing as most of the medical supplies that are used to treat different ailments are broken, I'll have to go with electroshock therapy. Before performing this procedure ask yourself the following: Is electroshock therapy the appropriate procedure for the patient?
Has patient had electroshock therapy previously? Has patient consented to terms and conditions of
electroshock therapy? Once that is out of the way, you are ready to perform electroshock therapy. This MUST be done with a Medical Harpoon! Once you throw the Medical Harpoon at the patient, this causes them to go into cardiac arrest. Immediately after doing so, talk to the patient and try to keep them with you, say things such as: "Stay with me" or "Don't go into the light!" and proceed to charge and shock them with the defibrillator pads. If done successfully, your patient should be fit as a fiddle and can return to normal duties.
What are the responsibilities of the Chief of Medicine in RP?:
Chief of Medicine is responsible for essentially the entire medical staff (aside from Director). They help train others as well as assist with any medical procedures and have final say in what medical procedures are performed. Make sure staff is doing procedures ethically, as well as using equipment properly.
Please give some lore about your Chief of Medicine character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Papa Moofin is a world renowned doctor and is married to Momma Moofin. He's worked in many high risk situations and has even held position as Chief Executive Officer of St. Thomas' Hospital (a reputable hospital in London). He is currently retired and does freelance work in his spare time. Upon hearing this, Ethics offers Papa a position as Chief of Medicine. Recently, some of the medical staff has been causing chaos within the Foundation and they are in need of someone to give them a bit of direction. With years of experience in the medical field, he was an ideal candidate. He agrees and starts working on presentations as well as documents to better educate his pupil and take them under his wing to better the Foundation. He is very passionate about medicine and believes he can be the leader they need. As Papa takes his work very seriously, he requires that Momma is not on site while he works, as he wants to keep a professional environment.
