What does this suggestion change/add/remove?
Allows for DEA to purchase vehicles using Warfunds.

Purchasing Permissions:
DEA Special Agent -> Allowed to purchase vehicles but they must be approved by Manager+ and/or Site Administration.
DEA Manager+ -> Can purchase warfund vehicles without approval.

This can be either armored vehicles or non-armed vehicles.

If uniqueness is a problem, then allow for DEA to deploy non-armored civilian like vehicles so that they can use them for jobs like Undercover agent or general undercover operations that require civilian vehicles.

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?
Not to my knowledge.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
  • Allows for DEA to purchase warfund vehicles instead of restricting them only to NU-7.
  • DEA can use warfunds more often.
  • Allows for warfund cash to be drained instead of building up for no use.
  • More variety for DEA warfund use.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:

  • Too many warfund vehicles being deployed.
  • May be inaccurate to SCP lore, because NU-7 is meant to be stronger.


Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
Based on the positives and negatives, I think this should be accepted. As of now, external affairs only has a couple (useless) ways to spend warfund on their side. Meanwhile NU-7 is allowed to purchase vehicles that actually serve a big purpose in surface combat. Additionally this change would allow for better disbursement of warfunds instead of having a big chunk of money for no use. External affairs can only deploy ammo and drones, which are utterly useless to any sort of surface operations. When NU-7 is in-active, having the ability to deploy vehicles would help tremendously, even if locked to special agent+.

As cool as this would be its going to be denied because NU7 is supposed to be the combat part of SOP, and pretty sure has been tried before and got denied

What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
lets foundation/ci/goc members spawn civilian cars if they have a driving license and correct VIP level

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
allows for more surface intel (eg intel agent or ci driving one undercover)
lets ci/f/goc members use cars for personal use scavenging for cyanide and chemicals without having to run the whole way

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
could be annoying to code

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
just makes farming cyanide and...

What does this suggestion change/add/remove:​

Do either or both of the following:
  • Add the vehicles available to civilians, to the vehicle spawn lists for Foundation, CI & GOC (With significant limit; Maybe like only 1 or 2 max, don't let Nu7 & DEA spam it)

  • Allow Nu7/DEA, CI & GOC jobs to use the civilian vehicle spawn NPC in Pinewood (Unsure how to reasonably police this)

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:​

Partially Accepted Thread 'DEA Undercover Agent QOL'

What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
This suggestion aims to add several QOL for the new DEA job and maybe giving the Department more stuff to do while playing the job. And I believe the next items would be very beneficial.
- Binoculars
- Access to civilian vehicles
- A bandage or field kit (You can't access bandages from pinewood medical anymore)
- Make the headcam restricted to CL4 view only. (or simply add a tablet to allow them to turn off their headcam)
- Adding a spy card? (The job doesn't need this but could add more content to the job!)

Thank you for this. I also can agree, I wouldn't mind for at least some type of vehicle to be deployed. I do think civilian cars could be interesting since DEA has things like undercover agent that may require civilian cars or whenever undercover.

I'll add that to the suggestion.
