bacon butty everyone else is wrong
We aren't discussing what the bacon sandwich is called, we're discussing how and why it's called a teacake. The correct suffix for anything in a teacake is indeed either sandwich or butty.

Buns are just boring tho everyone can agree in some capacity they're called buns. Buns are the C tier of naming it, there's no controversy with bun.

They're barm cakes, made by using the barm from fermenting beer instead of commercial yeast (used to be made that way anyway), I don't agree w/ the cake part but they are most definitely barms.

And yeah. maybe buns but idc that's like calling a Ferrari a 'car'

I have a definitive list of a survey conducted that asked EVERY person in the UK to rank what it was called. The results will shock you! Results presented as a tier list.
