Civil Networks Discord Server General Rules

All decisions made by staff are to be respected. If you disagree with the decision, or believe that the situation was handled incorrectly, then you must make a forum complaint or a ban appeal. Being rude or disrespectful about it may result in a ban.
When appealing a decision you must have reasonable justification, such as incorrect handling or unwarranted punishment. Rules are a general guidelines for the server and should not be used for your own beneficial gain and/or loop holed.
Furthermore this list is for general server rules set across all our Discord Servers and is not exhaustive where there are requirements for specific server rules, please consult your Discord Servers.

Section 1: Discord Rules
1.01 - Age Rating - Due to themes and topics of Civil Networks Services, no person under the age of 13 years old is permitted to use CN services, anyone found to be underage will be banned until they are of the appropriate age.
1.02 - General Respect - Whilst communicating on our discord it is important that we respect everyone, and as a result toxicity or targeted insults are not tolerated.
1.03 - Derogatory Language - Any use of racist, homophobic or any derogatory language is not permitted on our services.
1.04 - Harassment - Any user who goes out of their way to harass another member of the community will be removed from our discord server.
1.05 - Graphic Imagery / Adult Content / Hate Content - Adult Content and Graphic Images are prohibited to be posted on any of our discord services, anyone found to be doing this will be banned, this extends further to offensive reactions, profile pictures and bios.
1.06 - Discord Community Guidelines / T.O.S - Discord T.O.S and Community Guidelines must be followed at all times, any violations will lead to punishments.
1.07 - Link Sharing - Posting any link that contains any virus, IP logging or other details is prohibited, furthermore users are prohibited to share any links or content about any other user(s) personal life without their consent (i.e. posting another players Facebook account in a general channel), furthermore advertisements of any kind, linking to any other gaming community are prohibited.
1.08 - Channel Topics - All users should pay attention to the channel topics in each discord channel and ensure they comply with the rules set within each individual channel, ignoring this may result in punishments ranging from warns, timeouts and bans.
1.09 - Controversial Topics - Avoid openly controversial topics that are likely to embroil a channel from a civic discussion into a heated argument.
1.10 - Punishment Discussion - Users who have an issue with how a punishment was issued or a sit was handled should not come to Discord to do this and instead raise a complaint on the forums either via an Appeal or Complaint, arguing with staff in any channel over this will result in timeouts and potentially bans dependent on the conduct.
1.11 - Staff Communication - Listen to staff who are informing you about rule violations or to stop discussing certain topics when required, a Staff Member's decision is final. If there is a concern, please make a complaint via our forum.
1.12 - Follow Staff Hierarchy - Please make sure to contact the appropriate person for the correct issue, minor discord violations should be directed to Platform Staff (ranked Senior Mod+) and serious issues should be pointed towards a member of Server Leadership (Admin+), if you jump this chain of command, you will be directed to the appropriate person, if unsure, please raise a help ticket for support.
