What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
It would change the way disguises effect your name above your head
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
I am not sure if something like this was suggested before, and the website was taking forever to load when I was searching for it, so please let me know in the replies.
Possible Positives of the suggestion:
It would prevent people from Metagaming (easily) by looking at the name above their head and doing ID Checks on people because of it.
It could add a bit more depth to investigations, Think, if a person KNOWS someone by name, and they see that name above their head. They are gonna assume it is their friend.
It makes more sense in RP, People always say (related to the metagame part) "Didn't I just see you over there?" or some stuff like that.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
The only negative I can see in my head as of NOW is that people could still Metagame through the TAB Player list, however it would be a bit more obvious and take longer, so people MIGHT not have the mindset to Metagame names as much.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
I think this should be accepted to FINALLY solve a huge metagaming issue that has plagued many players for years. Less Metagame staff sits, Less Warns/Bans, Overall I just believe a change like this could be nice for the community.
-For the name thing, just get a decently large selection of common names, both first and last, and have it randomly pick each when picking a disguise - The name would ONLY change if they clicked on another person for a disguise.-
-Last minute addition that I can't figure out how to rewrite it into the Positives. - Could have it as a toggle, maybe by using the middle mouse to enable and disable the random names so RP investigations where people disguise as someone that they are investigating knows could work.
