Steam ID: Miyakosora [76561198099049599]

Discord name: Miyakosora#0116

For how long have you played on CG SCP : Around 2 days of log time at this point, but three weeks offline time.

Age: 28

In what country are you located?: USA

Time zone: Central

Character name(s): Claire Crowe

Civilian name: N/A

What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): SCP-RP USA

Do you have a mic?: Yes

List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held: N/A

Have you received any kicks/bans/warnings? and why?: Nope.

Why are you applying for Chief of Medicine? Honestly, I was recommended, I hadn’t given it much thought, but I do like helping people, it is something that brings me joy. I’m the kind of person that sits and thinks about how to streamline things to make them easier/more fun.

What makes you suitable for Chief of Medicine?: I try and be helpful to the trainees and anyone else that needs help. I know how to make things work, and honestly, I could write three pages here but I've got common sense. I know how to follow rules.

Please explain an in-game medical procedure of your choice: This is my TL;DR on shock therapy since that's the major thing I've done as a doctor. When someone comes in with a problem that requires shock therapy (or if other methods aren't available and shock therapy can be used since that's all I have clearance for.) I bring them into the room and get them to explain the problem, (though they usually come in screaming). I then ask them for consent and make sure they haven't been brought back using the defibrillators. Then I have them stand in front of the wall moving them far enough back so that when they fall they won't hit their head (ie fall through the floor). I then explain that their heart will temporarily stop and they don't need to head towards the light (OOCly tell them not to respawn.) I then tell them they'll feel a sharp pinch and count down 1,2,3 and throw the harpoon before bringing them back. And before they go I give them a bar of chocolate for being a good patient.
((I added flair to it for myself.))

What are the responsibilities of the Chief of Medicine in RP?: Honestly I have zero idea, but I'm willing to learn.

Please give some lore about your Chief of Medicine character and what storylines they would be involved in.: There haven't been any major storylines that I've been part of, and if there have been any since I've joined the server I wasn't aware of them. I usually end up dying due to the breaches so there hasn't been time to develop a story. My personal story usually involves the idea that Claire is like a multiclone or something and every time I respawn I rp that she had 'the strangest dream' and then she woke up and came to work. Lore is a great foundation, but in a setting, with multiple deaths, it can be tricky.

I don't know you so I can't give my support, but where it says "For how long have you played on SCPRP" you are meant to answer with how long you have played in total, not how often you play.

I'd also like to point out that you have applied in the wrong channel. Applications for Director of Medicine go in the Departmental Leader Applications channel, not the Misc Applications channel.

Good luck though!

They do not, the Chief of Medicine is not a departmental leader, which is why it is here.

Oh gosh, how embarrassing. Thank you for letting me know! I'll get that corrected!

Hello. Unfortunately, the Medical Department has to decline your application for now. While you have shown dedication to the much appreciated role of support, we believe that you need to spend more time with both the Medical Department and experience in the Foundation. I would recommend applying when you reach support lvl 20+, and have became well acquainted with the fellow personnel.
We look forward working with you, and we believe you are a good model to represent what our department is about. Just a little more experience!

Regards,
~ Dpt. Director of Medicine Elivan Sterling
