Steam ID: 76561198033886271
Discord name: erickdoe
For how long have you played on CG SCP: Since April of 2024 (so about 8 months)
Age: 38
In what country are you located?: UK and the Netherlands (varies)
Time zone: GMT / GMT +1
Character name(s): 'Specialist' Nick (usually Senior Doctor Specialist Nick)
Civilian name: 'Doctor' Richard
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): SCP-RP UK
Do you have a mic?:
-Yes
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
-No whitelisted roles - dedicated to support roles - have been asked to become whitelisted for Medical Consultant - over level 85
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
-Negative
Why are you applying for Medical Consultant?
-I almost purely RP support roles. Senior Doctor in particular. I have been requested multiple times by others to apply for the role of Consultant. It does seem a logical continuation of my current RP with "Doctor Nick".
What makes you suitable for Medical Consultant?:
-I enjoy assisting other players as a doctor. I also regularly engage in RP such as surgery and psych-evaluations. A more formal leadership role on the medical team seems like the logical next step. I try to be very creative when it comes to RP.
Please explain an in-game medical procedure of your choice:
Casus #1:
-Patient arrives with symptons: coughing repeatedly with mucus excrement
-Symptons are documented, and patient is taken to the medical scanner if available (otherwise the handheld scanner is consulted)
-Symptons reveal the patient to have been infected with a "common cold"
-In this case: the diagnosed illness is treated at the pharmacy by a concuction of: Dextrome (1 part Deionized water + 1 part Duloxetine)
-Concoction is administered in a sanitised vial holding 100 mililiters of Dextrome
-Patient is charged for possible material costs and then released from medical care
Casus #2:
-Patient arrives with unusual limb positioning
-Patient is taken to the X-ray scanner
-Scans reveal 'reversed' injury picture
-Injury is diagnosed by doctor to be a fractured left leg
-Doctor acquires a calcium dosage from the proper facilities (i.e. the medical cabinet)
-Doctor instructs patient to take said dosage, and after no further symptons are present, releases patient from medical care
What are the responsibilities of the Medical Consultant in RP?:
-Sanctioning medical procedures. Answering questions of potential patients AND medical staff. Ensuring that doctors properly attend to their duties. Oversee medical licence training.
Please give some lore about your Medical Consultant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
-Doctor 'Specialist' Nick is close to retirement age and probably has seen it all. Because of this he may come across a bit jaded at times, though after plenty of coffee (or perhaps other mild 'substances') he is known to diligently approach his patients and colleages with a smile.
He is dedicated to his duties and remains capable, but also quite stubborn and certainly not flawless. Ultimately his heart is in the right place and he remains loyal to the Foundation. His inventiveness at assisting Foundation personnel (i.e. "Program Milkman") can sometimes lead him to confrontations.
