What will you do to stop this from happening again:
I will not associate myself with blacklisted members of the community, especially those who dox community members, and I will report doxxing as soon as possible to a trusted staff member so that any harm can be minimised as far as possible.
Prior to this, have you ever been warned/kicked/banned/blacklisted?
I have been warned, kicked and banned, but never blacklisted before.
Why should you be unblacklisted:
Before I was blacklisted, I was in a discord server where dox material of several former staff members was sent and circulated by other members in the server. At the time, I stayed in the server despite this, as we would play other games together when we were not playing MRP like Minecraft or GTA V. I realise now that this was a mistake and that, by not calling out and reporting the doxxers as I should have, I was enabling disgusting behaviour to take place with my continued presence. That, and as a member of the community, it was my responsibility to protect another member as best as I could and not assume that someone else would do it on my behalf. I regret staying in the server despite the fact that there was ongoing rule-breaking going on and will not do so again in future if I am given a chance.
About my role in this unfortunate event, I was only witness to the dox material. I did not go out of my way to obtain these materials, which were sent to me without me personally requesting for them, by other members who have since been unblacklisted. I would never compromise someone else's private information as this is both a violation of trust and contradictory to how I handle my own personal data online.
Doxxing is unacceptable in all of its forms and I know now that I should have reported these instances to Server Leadership as soon as I saw them. I am sorry that I did not do so. In future, I will make sure that I am not a bystander in such instances again.
I believe I should be unblacklisted as I have changed for the better in the past year since my blacklist. I have owned up to my actions and have accepted my punishment for the past year without complaint and incident. In addition, before my blacklist, I was a very active part of the community, contributing my ideas and expertise to the server. I would like to be able to contribute to the community again, if I am unblacklisted.
How can you ensure that you won't break any other rule?:
I will not join discord groups and servers that have members of Civil Networks who actively break Civil Network rules and, if I do encounter rule breaking like doxxing somehow again, I will make sure to proactively report them to both Server and Network Leadership.
Why do you want to rejoin this server?:
I want to know what’s going on in the server as it’s been a while since I last played. Lots of new content to check out, for example. I also would like to meet old friends before I go to university.
