Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?
I am applying for Executive researcher due to the increasing enjoyment i am getting from the ability to contribute to the experience of others through interesting Experiments that involve testing SCPs in ways that , And through the enjoyment i am coming to fully appreciate through the document work available to Researchers. While Executive Researcher is not a Senior position within the Foundation, i hope to almost treat it as such. I am hoping to fully show dedication through the duties of an Executive, acting as an example for new researchers to rely on, while being able to further enhance my own skills as a researcher.
I enjoy the thought of being a person that others can look towards for advice, assistance with ingame activity such as research and helping people work on their own personal skills and techniques to apply to their work. Personally, I feel that the idea of being able to help others develop their skills in Document writing, all the while being able to reward the hard work put in by others , to be an extraordinary feeling, and one i truly wish is in my future while working as a researcher for the foundation.
What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?:
During my time learning the roles and expectations of being a researcher, i have tried to fully involve myself across not only my own experiments and documents, but to also try to involve myself in other researchers work when welcomed by said researchers. throughout my current journey as a Researcher, i have constantly tried to think about different experiment ideas that bring an interesting situation to the table for people to experience.
O feel like from my tests working to both experiment and interview different SCPs, for example Interviewing SCP-049 over up coming experiments or ones that had taken place, to cross testing SCPs such as SCP-178 (3-D glasses) inside of SCP-860-1 (enchanted forest) to see if the Entities of SCP-178 are present in different dimensions and how the change in dimension effects the Entitites, I would like to think that my ideas do bring this interesting situation that causes people to stop and think about what might actually happen. i feel this is a great quality for an Executive Researcher, as if i was holding this position, not only would i be able to further conduct these experiments, but i would be able to allow others to do so as well, helping widen the scope for new researchers to get thinking outside of the box and creating some memorable Tests and Documents for the server to enjoy.
On a more general note of suitability, i feel that my almost daily presence so far around the site would be another reason for consideration. With this level of activity, there will almost always be a point within the day where i am present on site to assist with the duties and responsibilities expected of an Executive researcher.
How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?
As of right now, i currently have 3 Excellent graded documents, The first is a Study on the possible alteration of SCP-178's entities within SCP-860-1, The second is a specific Interview and Experiment to learn of SCP-049's methods of locating and isolating the Pestilence within an individual and how we could hope to understand this, and my third being another Cross-test on SCP-714 and SCP-049 to gather information on the protection received by SCP-714 against SCP-049.
When it comes to achieving an Excellent grade on a Document, I have come to realise there is more to just the writing itself. seeing a document that has had its message made clear and well structured makes for a good read, I feel that preparation before even creating a document can lead to producing excellent documents.
For documents to be seen as Excellent, i have come to learn and advise newer researchers that having order and structure is a great basis to start when helping create a timeline for writing a document, whether this is a plan on the first page, or even an Index pre-written out. This preparation helps to keep a researcher focused on Fully completing each segment to a document, ensuring each page has had enough effort poured in before moving onto the next.
Finally, having a Clear Aim and method for the Documents creation helps to solidify the rest of the content written into it. If no Aim or goal for the document is estabilished, the writer often ends up forgetting what was written or contradicting themselves in later pages, often repeating what was factualised in previous pages.
I feel like there is so much to be considered when a document is submitted for grading, like Grammer, Clarity, Structure, Effort, Content, Quality and so on. All areas of a document must be carefully analysed by the grader to deliver a fair and understandable grade.
What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?:
Executive researchers have many responsibilities to fulfil when in roleplay. Many of these responsibilities are crucial to the role and to the development of the Research Department. executive Researchers are tasked with Overseeing the research experiments conducted within the facility, working to observe and help conduct tests, making sure that the ethics and protocols are being followed flawlessly to uphold an impressive image of the department and the staff under it.
Executive researchers are also tasked with the quality assessment of documents submitted by the members of the department, making sure that feedback and an accurate grade is handing down to the Staff members submitting Documents and are seeking improvement in their own skills, effectively passing on their expertise in a positive way to help further educate the Research department staff.
Another roleplay responsibility for Executives to uphold is the act of hosting Lectures for the department. the ability to teach new researchers important skills can be hard to achieve when some researchers struggle to understand the information being conveyed. Holding Lectures helps to allow Executive researchers the opportunity bullet point information and capture images to help convey the information across to new staff, further enhancing the transfer of knowledge.
A Further opportunity for researchers to learn and enjoy the department of research would be through the responsibility of Executive Researchers and their ability to review requests for cross testing, which allows the department to experience more interesting experiments, and to allow Clearance level three researchers to approach testing Clearance level 4 SCPs, which adds to the potential development in the researchers that decide to take up the task.
Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Name: Elliot Nezha
DoB: 20/4/[REDACTED]
Clearance Level: 3
Occupation: Anomalous Researcher
Previous Occupation: Junior Optometrist for [REDACTED]
Information:
Elliot Nezha swiftly Rose to become one of the promising Optometrists during his studies at [REDACTED] regional University. During Elliot Nezha's Studies, A Foundation Agent of a Researcher recruitment programme took notice of Elliot Nezha's interest in unusual practices to achieve his results during practice examination reports. Elliot nezha soon Graduated with impressive recommendations to many different practices across the [REDACTED] County. After several months of employment under a seasoned Optometrist at the [REDACTED] Health Clinic, Elliot Nezha was picked up by foundation Agents and Recruited as a Research apprentice.
Elliot Nezha soon progressed through the foundation research ranks, reaching the title of Senior Researcher. Due to Dr. Nezha's Education background, Elliot Nezha found great interest in learning of the Cognito hazardous SCPs containted by the Foundation, often researching ways to place a biological or mechanical blocker between the point at which an SCP's cognito hazardous and biological requirements to activate the SCP meet.
After gaining Clearance level 3, Elliot took a particular interest in Dr. Daniel [REDACTED]'s work on Project SCRAMBLE, and the focus on blocking ocular signals of an SCP's visual hazardous information. Elliot now shows a higher interest in contributing more toward the Department of Research through working with more sensitive information, in hopes to further help Elliot in uncovering new break-throughs in his research and documents to further assist the foundation and the rest of humanity.
