Why are you applying for Director of Internal Security?

I am applying for the position of Director of Internal Security because I have a reformist vision for the future of the ISD that ive wanted to see for a long time, one that emphasizes both enhancement of roleplay, fun, but also professionalism and respect, something I feel that has escaped a lot of agents. I also think arrests get taken way too personally by agents and the suspect, and I think the majority of this site does not like ISD. My goal is to change that reputation by setting an example and utilizing the FTE team to do so. By using the FTE team, you can set a new standard in ISD that makes the site more comfortable with ISD but also makes the experience of being an agent more enjoyable. I will also use the PO and IO teams to enhance role-play interactions that people have with ISD, my time as PO Commissioner has taught me many ways to enhance the role-play experience that people have with ISD, mainly through court cases which would be on full display to the site and show a more interested complex side of ISD, the IO team would be used to find these cases and the PO team would prosecute them.

Throughout my time within the department, I’ve observed drama, hate, and many other things that should not arise from GMOD roleplay, and I think its the nature of ISDs job that has made it difficult for other people to roleplay with our department, but I’ve also come to understand that many agents and investigators do not prioritize RP when thinking about how they interact with certain scenarios, sometimes instantly arresting someone is not the best choice. Watching them, and interrogating them are always more RP-enhancing interactions as it opens up the possibility of more interesting incidents or interactions to occur, like finding people they are working with or finding their stash of dead bodies they keep hidden.

My time in the prosecution office has helped me learn these facts, as when I first came into my position, it appeared that tribunals were way too exclusive and nerve-wracking for people to enjoy being a part of, but I worked with site administration to change that. We sent out messages to everyone getting summoned, telling them that punishments would not be severe, and it's mainly for RP. I also wanted to work on its exclusivity and encouraged more Internal Security Court cases, even doing a few myself. And I also petitioned to give inspectors the ability to judge lower court cases, as a big setback was that we could not find assistants willing or qualified enough to judge.

This position represents an opportunity not just to lead, but to implement meaningful change that I think is sorely needed in ISD. I believe in fostering a stronger culture of trust in ISD around the site and improving interdepartmental communication and relationships. I think these reforms are needed and that the director is the most important role in making that change.

What makes you suitable for Director of Internal Security?:

My experience is what first comes to mind, not just as commissioner but as the ranks before that, and my time in E11 in 2024. I spent a lot of time as E11 and managed to get up to CSG, I learned a lot of site policies in E11 since it was a big part of our job when securing HCZ, but I also got to work with other MTFs in that time which is something I didnt do as much when I moved to IA. When I first entered IA it was.... Something, I didn't really get back into IA until ISD came around and made things more interesting. It was at that point I got a little more back into it, but due to school reasons, I left again, then I came back in 2025. But through my time in IA and ISD, I learned a lot, mainly I learned site policies more in depth, but also investigations and operations. Then over time I got into prosecution in court cases, this experience is critical for me, competence in the court is a show of knowledge of site policy and ISD as a whole, then after a while I became the commissioner of prosecution, and it's where I've been since.

I also act professionally and calmly at all times, I try my very best not to get involved in petty drama and stupid things. I stay extremely focused on my job and have been since I joined ISD. My dedication to ISD time-wise is also high; my VTime, excluding this month since I was on LOA, was at a consistent 6-7 days per month. I also have a good relationship with SA/O5/Ethics and other departments, and as I said before, I stay out of petty drama, and it's helped me greatly with growing healthy relationships with other departments. I think maintaining good department cooperation is critical to ISD as that cooperation could mean the difference between success and failure in critical operations/investigations.

I also have great leadership skills that I have gained through my tenure as an E11 NCO and ISD inspector & Commissioner, with all of those roles giving me special insight into multiple perspectives on site. I stay composed and steady under harsh pressure and keep an objective opinion on critical matters that require my deliberation. I have said this on most applications I've made, but I can't emphasise enough how much I can't stand micromanagement. I think it's a huge sign of bad leadership and shows that you don't trust your own team. There are many times when the director would need to step in; however, it should not cloud one's judgement out of fear that your team doesn't know what they are doing, and that it would affect you. I think striking that balance of trust and quality control is critical and something I have nailed down throughout my tenure.

What are the responsibilities of the Director of Internal Security in RP?:

Well, I'm not sure where we draw the line between in and out of RP, as a lot of the director's job is a grey line in between; however, they are responsible for the appointments of CL4 positions, ensuring the department maintains an appropriate conduct and performance standard, maintaining contact with all the teams and there needs, finding issues with the department and keeping the overall health of the department high, keeping contact with site administration and the ethics committee to discuss critical matters that need to be brought there attention, maintaining a healthy and strong relationships with all departments on site, ensuring appropriate activity from ISD on site to keep the site secure and within the bounds of appropriate conduct and ethics, and maintaining departmental documentation and rosters.

The director must also have a vision for the future of ISD to ensure that improvements are made where needed and new fresh ideas are given a chance to improve ISD's experience on-site. I also think that maintaining a good personal relationship with others in ISD will foster a healthy environment that would help ISD's overall performance.

Please give some lore about your Director of Internal Security character and what storylines they would be involved in:

So I have an approved lore file on my character, Evender Krennic, whom I decided to make after I boxed myself into a corner with Elias 'Nova' Yamamara's lore. However, it's not fully fleshed out yet, so I will give a brief explanation on his lore overall as the file I have approved is more of a personnel file than a written autobiography. -> Evender Krennic Personnel File.

To give a good explanation of his career path, he started as an intelligence support officer for ODNI, then moved on to be an Archival Consultant for DARPA. After his time with them, he was picked up by the foundation and assigned to a RAISA satellite office at Site-11 as a records clerk. After containing a medium-risk infohazard leak, he was promoted to be RAISA's Site-11 Liaison. After spending a few years in that position, he moved to Site-17 and became an Ethics Committee Liaison. He was then offered a job that was at a different pace than he was used to; he was embedded into Tau-9 'Bookworms' as a Mobile Task Force Support Analyst that did real-time field intelligence work. Evender described that position as the most fun he's ever had.

However, he was soon needed elsewhere as his experience with the Ethics Committee and RAISA got him a new job offer at Site-19 as the Internal Security Department's Commissioner of prosecution, in which he finally balanced paperwork with field work. However, after a few years, Elias 'Nova' Yamamara the site-65 PO Commissioner, passed away, and Krennic decided to transfer, this was most likely due to his distaste of Site-19 often describing Site-19 as a hell hole, however he did not seem to understand he was jumping into an even bigger one.

More lore will be created related to his time within Tau-9, which will allow me to give him something related to external relations. I also would like to tie him into some Site-65-related events; however, since he's a fairly new character to the scene, I have not really gotten the chance to tie him into Site-65-specific lore, except for the PO work I've done so far with his name.
