What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Cartographers should be allowed to conduct tests again on SCPs as part of the clauses of Complie and Gather Data and Analyze and Interpret Data in the Job Description. Cartographers should be able to credit appropriate personnel; for example, when doing tests for a Foundation Cartog, they should be able to credit accompanying D-Class, Gensec, and Medical. All Cartographers in all GOIs should spawn with the Glock P80 and the Fang-45. The Cartographer in CI should spawn with a TE-5 Electronic Tampering Device.
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
After trying to search the forum, I found nothing similar or even related to this suggestion.
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
This would allow cartographers to fulfill their role as researchers and combatives, per their job description. It would ensure a symmetrical equivalent version of the Cartographer across all GOIs to ensure a similar experience curtailed to the factions.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
I will not lie; I don't see any negatives in this. However, I do implore you to please consider any negatives you have conceived that I have missed.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
As someone who plays the Cartographer role regularly across my Characters, I believe this would significantly improve my experience. Still, I also believe it would significantly improve the experience of others who play the role. If this suggestion were accepted, it would allow the Cartographer to fulfill its purpose and description to the fullest extent I can conceive of at the moment.
