Game crashes when I try to join

Whenever I try to join the SCP-US or UK server halfway through it just freezes my computer and I cant exit out with task manager or alt+f4 and instead I have to completely power it off and then on. This issue has only come up on the SCP servers for Civil Network and I even reinstalled GMOD as well as checking the file integrity. Does anybody know how to fix this?

Have you tried, reinstalling the server files?

If so maybe have you tried making your Gmod.EXE (AKA: hl2.exe) high priority?

If these have no effect, maybe turn down the resolution in Gmod.

Or you could turn down your video settings from very high, or high, to medium.

I've been having the same issue on my other computer. The loading bar will get stuck at this exact point (attached), and my GMod will completely freeze. Re-installing Gmod and verifying files has not fixed this.

This issue is not present on my main computer.

Update: Re-installing content has not fixed the issue either.
