Getting Exception/Reword/Something on Discord Rules

According to the current External Discord Guidelines:
  • No 'Official' Discords: External Discords that claim to be the official Discord for an in-RP group (such as a regiment (MRP) or department/MTF (SCP-RP)), or any element of Civil Networks, are prohibited under all circumstances.
  • Discord Naming: You may not name an external Discord after an in-RP group, e.g. "Security Department Discord", even if you call it "unofficial" in the name.
  • No Membership Requirements: You may not make membership of an external Discord a requirement for membership of any in-RP group, or require a player to join your external Discord in return for any in-game benefit.
  • No Hiding Important Documents & Conversations: You may not use this Discord as a hub for important documents & conversations that should be held inside of an official CN Discord. For instance, you may not use it for High Command meetings (MRP), O5/Ethics meetings (SCP-RP), posting documents for COs, etc.
  • No Blanket Invites: You may not blanket invite all members of an in-RP group of players to your external Discord. Blanket inviting means automatically extending an invite to people when they become a member of an in-RP group of players, either directly, or through posting the link in an announcements channel. This rule is intended to avoid 'official' Discords being created in all but name. Examples of an in-RP group of players are:
    • All members of an in-RP group,
    • All players holding a certain rank (or above),
    • All players holding a certain whitelist.
All of this is sensible. However, we currently have a squadron on the UK server between E-11 and Medical called Specialised Medical Unit (SMU) that is for CMs to actively support E-11 in their duties. I recently opened a Discord ticket asking for a channel or two so that we could use them for sharing documents, handling logging, communicating between members, etc. and also one for leaders to discuss new members, recruitment, tryouts, documents, etc. and was told no. How, then, are we supposed to arrange tryouts, share documents, contact members that are out of game, etc. without this? We got told to just use the in-game comms, SCiPNet, etc., but that really doesn't help me to share Google Docs or talk between members/leaders if not all of us are in-game.

Solution
You can request a senior admin+ to create a private thread in your channels instead of a channel to prevent bloat. You can ping people to add them to the thread and the threads can be viewed by only Admin+ or Platform member+.

Hope this helps.
Its head moderator for private threads. Do not ping senior admins or wallahi im ignoring you

This is very old, but this is actually helpful, whenever I might need this again - thanks 💀

They might be physically able to do that, but if a CS has said they're not allowed, then what are they supposed to do?
I think requis is probably just mistaken in the permission levels, its not like theres a way to monitor who is viewing a thread unless they interact with it
