Content Suggestion Give cartos the ability to !credit

What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Allowing cartos, as members of RsD, to actually do tests by themselves. Cartos are essentially just a dude with a gun that bumbles around because they have no real purpose outside of spawn dimension (which they can only do in certain places) and shoot gun (which they can only do during codes). I love having a carto bodygaurd, but I think it's genuinely limiting that a member of RsD can't do tests and credit those he's testing with.

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
While there's been a lot of suggestions for cartos, I don't see any of them mention letting cartographers credit.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- More dimensional tests! A guy who wants to do dimensional tests can now flag on carto themselves without having to beg a carto to get on or getting the test together, then crediting on normal RsD, then swapping onto carto just to ensure everyone involved gets credits.
- Carto will likely be played more as the main downside currently is you can't actually do research without a pet credit machine (RsD member).
- More people might buy carto now that it'll be on the same level as thauma. It essentially becomes RsD with gun and dimensions. Like how Thauma is RsD with wizard powers.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- People might fight over carto because it's the only RsD role that can have a gun.

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:



Give my boys the ability to hold a gun and credit their D-Class.

I have absolutely 0 idea why a RESEARCH department role that is meant to be focussed on the RESEARCH of dimensions cannot credit their subjects.

I guess I understand as they're the combative class so may accidentally throw GSD a bit to the side, but they are 1 role out of a bunch.

Seems like something that was just forgotten when setting up the job lowkey, cant think of any real reason they shouldnt be able to credit.

Well, it doesn't strictly mean "Don't make crediting suggestions," it means more "Don't make slop crediting suggestions," you know? That's why I said that I don't know that it counts. I would argue the reasoning is solid, but it's not my opinion that counts here. It's Content's.

To be fair, I think Cartographers should still be able to. This seems more like a situation in which nobody reported that they were unable to, rather than intended. That's just my personal opinion though, and I hope to see more dimensional testing where they can credit people like normal researchers.
