What does this suggestion change/add/remove: Give DEA a new War fund that either replaces spy drones or adds to DEAs war funds. The war fund that I'm currently thinking would be the best swap is Thermals of course if it doesn't match DEAs playstyle there are possibly other things that would make sense for DEA to be able to get although I feel thermals are something that can match DEA efficiently.
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?: Not that I'm unaware.
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
1. Gives more use to DEA calling in war funds
2. Attracts more to the DEA player base
3. adds more use to thermals as a item.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
As one can imagine there are a few downsides or consequences that could most likely happen if DEA were to be able to call thermals or get a new warfund entirely.
1. GOC already have thermals which means giving DEA thermals could make them unoriginal considering how each warfund is unique to the factions or would require thermals to be changed from GOCs Warfund assets.
2. May not completely make sense for DEA to get provided them.
3. Could potentially be abused and ruin gameplay loops.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
While I know DEA isn't entirely meant to have insane war funds such as GOC, CI or Nu7 however, Spy Drones are a insanely underwhelming war fund item that is from what I've seen never used and generally isn't liked to be the war fund item we get. Spy Drones are often times not needed and can be done via the regular drones' senior agents get for way cheaper and fly much farther and higher. Thermals somewhat match DEAs intelligence theme although while I admit not as much as Spy Drones. Thermals also aren't a entirely used item by the GOC either considering they have much better war funds then them. I understand that this may be disliked by some people and Ive not taken account how US uses spy drones or thermals however, from what i've seen on the UK spy drones aren't entirely used by DEA as normal drones outweigh them considering the price. Im not sure if spy drones need to be swapped out for thermals or not if this were to be accepted by the content team or not however, thought it would be best to create the suggestion and see what people think.
