What can you bring to the Global Occult Coalition:
I believe I can bring quality roleplay and research RP to the GOC. I am good at writing documents and coming up with experiments or new ideas. I believe I am also suited to diplomacy, being able to remain calm in virtually every situation, due to my past experience as a CI-C DELCOM during negotiations and diplomatic situations with the Foundation. (For example, the SCP-8854 treaty I wrote and signed back when the SCP just released on the US server) I realize how roleplay heavy the GOC is, and I intend to deliver fully if I do get accepted.
Why do you want to join the Global Occult Coalition?:
I want to join the GOC because I want to involve myself more in surface roleplay and F-UNGOC relations. The GOC has been exceptionally active recently (bravo!) and I would love to be a part of the fight against the anomalous. GOC roleplay has always interested me, even back when I was a DELCOM. Seeing GOC interact with everyone on surface and capture SCPs has always piqued my interest, and diplomatic interactions with GOC on the UK server has shown me just the minimum of how GOC operates inside their base.
Why was the Global Occult Coalition founded?:
The GOC was founded as a safeguard to prevent future occult action and activity by rogue organizations and to ensure the destruction of paranormal entities after a failed attempt at a ritual during the Seventh Occult War.
What does the PHYSICS, PSYCHE, and PTOLEMY Divisions specialize in and give an example of some functions they do:
There are 3 Divisions in the GOC. Each Division has 2 halves, each with different tasks.
PHYSICS:
The PHYSICS Division is the "action" force of the GOC. They do the heavy lifting of the GOC.
- Assessment Teams: Investigating and Observing anomalies and parathreats.
- Strike Teams: Capturing or Liquidating anomalies and parathreats.
PSYCHE:
The PSYCHE Division is the GOC's diplomatic division. They maintain peace between humanity and the occult powers.
- Special Observers: Agents tasked with observing investigations for emerging parathreats.
- Ambassadors: Keep diplomatic contact with non-dangerous occult powers.
PTOLEMY:
The PTOLEMY Division is the support force of the GOC. They support the other 2 forces, and make sure that everything runs smoothly.
- Quartermasters: Tasked with logistics and support. They handle everything from coordinating food and supply at GOC facilities to the distribution of arms and armour.
- Research and Development: Coordinates new research and information into new technology with the 108 member organizations, and funds/directs new R&D projects.
What Are the Global Occult Coalition's goals?:
The GOC has 5 main goals called the Fivefold Mission:
First Mission: Survival
The GOC will hold the survival of the human race above the survival of anything else. This is their highest mission, superseding all others.
Second Mission: Concealment
As knowledge of the anomalous would cause mass hysteria and casualties in the public, this is another of the GOC's important goals.
Third Mission: Protection
Even though this mission can be ignored/put aside if necessary due to the First Mission, individuals will be protected if possible.
Fourth Mission: Destruction
Because the existence of the anomalous in and of itself is dangerous to the human race, it is seen as an unnecessary risk to keep parathreats around. The GOC will destroy them whenever possible.
Fifth Mission: Education
The GOC will always attempt to expand their knowledge of the anomalous, in order to be able to combat it more effectively.
Please explain The Seventh Occult War:
The Seventh Occult war is an occult war that coincides with WWII, caused by a Nazi occult organization known as the Obskura Korps attempting to complete the Rite of Solomon. The Rite of Solomon, also referred to as SCP-3457, would give the user full control over the distribution of occult ability in the human population. The GOC cooperated with other Groups of Interest to prevent the Obskura Korps from gaining this godlike power. The war lead to the creation of the GOC, which comprises of around member 108 organizations.
What makes the Global Occult Coalition different in in-comparison to the other groups within the SCP-universe in your view?:
I've always seen the GOC as the more logical group. They tend to be more diplomatic or, well, "smart". It also always seemed to me as though they're the only ones with an actual good goal: destruction of the anomalous. Unlike other GOIs, GOC doesn't focus on containing or utilising anomalies. They simply study them and then terminate them. I think this is truly unique, because in other Sci-Fi genres the GOC would be seen as "the bad guy". They're here just to destroy the anomalous.

Alex enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2009 on his 18th birthday, motivated by the death of his father in the Army 10 years prior. He served for 9 years, reaching the rank of Sergeant Major before encountering a never before seen threat in the Registan Desert of Afghanistan. An anomaly attacked the battalion at 3:16 A.M.
Alex was lightly burned on the leg by the anomaly's seemingly magic "fire powers" while carrying an injured soldier to cover. Approximately 5 minutes after the anomaly appeared, S.C.P. operatives began deploying from Apache helicopters.
While S.C.P. Foundation Operatives were re-containing the anomaly, Mobile Task Force Epsilon-9 "Fire Eaters" Commander ■■■■■ ■■■■■■■■■■■ noticed Alex's bravery and swift critical thinking skills. After the mission, he recruited Alex into MTF Epsilon-9. Alex operated in MTF Epsilon-9 until 2022, up to the rank of Command Sergeant, after which Alex decided that the MTF's operating environments were too much for him.
He decided to transfer to Mobile Task Force Epsilon-11 "Nine Tailed Fox". Alex operated in E-11 for one year, fighting off countless anomalies and SCPs. Merely 6 hours after his promotion to Corporal, his squadron got a mission from the attending Lieutenant. An SCP was loose 200 miles west of their location. They packed up and within 30 minutes were on a helicopter to the location.
Alex's squadron was well-informed of how the anomaly operated: they were prepared. The location was a small, abandoned house. Alex's squadron pushed in and retrieved the anomaly with ease, but while they were leaving the house Alex noticed something.
A dark figure, standing in the dimly lit corner next to the stairwell down to the basement. It seemed to be turning some kind of knob, which produced a hissing sound. Before Alex could call his operatives or radio this in, though, the figure disappeared.
As he tried to radio this in, he walked outside to notice that everyone from his squadron had disappeared. He steps further, only to notice the helicopter leaving without him. He turns around to look at the house, and he notices the figure in the attic window. As he looked back at the helicopter, radio in hand, he made the fatal mistake of blinking.
The figure was now hanging on the helicopter's landing skids. Alex could see it slowly move its long, black arm up and into the helicopter's engine compartment, phasing through the hull. With a quick yank, it ripped out the now flaming engine and threw it with a swift, calculated movement at the house. Alex narrowly avoided the engine, but was knocked away by the house exploding. That's when he realized;
the knob.
It must have been gas the figure was purposefully building up inside the house. This was no attack, this was an orchestrated sequence of events he had no control over. This figure was unlike anything he had fought or re-contained before. Alex could only watch as the helicopter that his entire squadron was trapped in started spinning out of control. It crashed in a forest near the house, but before it impacted the ground Alex could catch the figure smiling a wide, terrifying grin back at him. Alex was then suddenly knocked out by a stray brick that was launched upwards by the explosion.
He woke up minutes later, now with the figure right in front of him. He could now notice all the details: Thick, curly black fur. Long and slender limbs. No face, except for a pure white line that was used for expressing. The figure sat in front of Alex and an unintelligible stream of yelling and chanting was emanating from it. Alex tried to move, but soon noticed what the figure was doing. It's legs weren't on the ground; they were going through the grass, the dirt, out behind Alex and they were holding him down. He couldn't move, no matter how much he tried.
After what felt like an eternity of the figure chanting and yelling, the figure finally stood up and let Alex go. He attempted to sit upright, only being able to lay back on his elbows for some support. He stared at the figure as it slowly approached him while it grew a sharp spike out of the palm of its bony hand. It slowly moved the spike closer and closer to Alex's forehead. Alex closed his eyes, preparing for what would come next...
But nothing happened. Alex opened his eyes to see the figure showing a frustrated frown on it's eyeless face. It was being attacked from behind by some kind of beam of concentrated energy. As the figure turned around, he managed to crawl to the side and see what was going on.
GOC had caught wind of what was happening and a Strike Team Operative in the PHYSICS Division was holding the figure down using some kind of energy weapon. 4 more operatives suddenly appeared from the nearby foliage and started shooting the figure with their assault rifles, to no avail. The figure slowly approached the operative with the energy weapon and, with a quick movement of its wrist, split him in half. The remaining operatives quickly said something on the radio, and distracted the figure for what felt like an eternity. That is when Alex could hear the deafeningly recognizable sound of a Chinook CH-47A helicopter. As he looked up he saw that it was carrying some kind of metal box. He wondered what it could be used for: Maybe a cell or cage for the figure, or a new weapon?
As the helicopter landed, naturally the figure approached it. The box was put on the grass field in front of the house and the helicopter swiftly flew away. As the figure approached, it got hit with another energy beam. This gave the box enough time to open with the help of an operative, and finally Alex saw what it was. It was something he had heard of only in tales, but didn't believe it actually existed.
The GOC had just deployed an Mk. III Ultra-Heavy Engagement Chassis to combat the figure. The figure curiously looked up at it, but as fast as it could realize what it was up against, it was pummeled into the ground by the Orange Suit. The figure, now severely weakened and also in a state of rage due to the suit's Banshee function, stood back up to try to fight the Orange Suit, but just as fast as it stood up, it received a barrage of rockets and heavy machine gun fire. Alex was blinded by the gunfire for maybe 30 seconds, after which he noticed the figure wasn't there anymore. The GOC had done it: they killed the figure. It wasn't much more than a charred spot of grass at this point.
Alex was taken in for questioning by the GOC. He told them about E-11, his squadron, the anomaly they were previously ordered to contain, and the figure's attack on the house and helicopter. The GOC were impressed by his ability to survive the incident and offered him a spot in the PTOLEMY division. Alex agreed after careful consideration, and is currently serving in the PHYSICS Division as a Strike Team Operative after transferring there.
