Why are you applying for Medical Consultant?
I am applying for the position of Consultant to help the department by using my previous experience and knowledge to help others in the department. I have also found enjoyment in the roleplay that medical do such as a surgery that I did for the first time on the Director of Medicine. Although it was my first time I used sources to learn how to complete the surgery with a successful result. Another reason that I am applying for the position is that I like helping people in any way possible as it makes me feel enjoyment and satisfied. A third reason why I am applying for Consultant is because I have ideas that I think could be implemented into the department that have been missed like a format for surgeries that have been done, or conducting more psych evals on sentient SCPs.
What makes you suitable for Medical Consultant?:
Firstly, although it is very different, I have previous experience as a Commissioned Officer within an MTF regiment. This has led me to gather leadership traits and what is needed to keep the regiment running efficiently. That experience can be applied within the Medical Department. Within the regiment, I was the document manager so I have experience with creating and editing documents both in-game and using Google Docs. Another reason why I am suitable for Medical Consultant is the roleplay that I can bring to the department as I hold myself to a high standard of roleplay capability to make sure everyone that is involved finds it enjoyable.
Secondly, I believe I am suitable for the position of Consultant because I am very helpful to others and always willing to answer any queries that they have to the best of my ability. Furthermore, I am always continuing to improve my knowledge such as how to perform different surgeries or procedures, and how to become a near-perfect individual by listening to others and their feedback.
Please explain an in-game medical procedure of your choice:
I will be explaining a prosthetic surgery that I did on Director of Medicine Kayla after both of her hands were amputated by a GOI. Firstly the room was sterilized to avoid contamination and exposure to infections. After the patient was told to lie down on the operating table she was administered anaesthesia through a anaesthetic machine. When she fell asleep the wound was then sterilized using a mixture of soap and warm water to avoid the possibility of infections. The wounds were then inspected to check the damage to the muscles in the arm, and it was found that the muscles affected by the amputation were heavily damaged. Stitching was used to stitch up the hands to create a stump for the prosthetics. The skin was made less sensitive to the prosthetics using a method called desensitization where I used compression bandages to reduce the swelling and build-up of fluid that can happen inside and around the stump area. Once the area was desensitised and the compression bandages removed, the prosthetic was fitted onto the stumps checking if it fits properly to avoid it causing pain and discomfort for the patient. Once the surgery was finished she was taken to the recovery room where she was told further treatment would be needed; seeing a prosthetist, psychologist, and any medication that she would need.
What are the responsibilities of the Medical Consultant in RP?:
Born in the year 1986 in the city of Courtenay, British Columbia, Canada, Hitman had a troubled upbringing through a strict family. He was never fully allowed to do the things he loved, including advancing his career in medicine. At the age of 18, he attended medical school at the University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine in Vancouver to the displease of his parents who wanted him to join the military. When he graduated from medical school he was forced into the military by his parents where he wished to become a medic. After joining the Canadian Armed Forces he enrolled in the Family Medicine Residency program, when completed he would have to complete basic training. While in basic training at St.Jean, he increased his knowledge in the medical field, specifically in general surgeries so he could help those in the field when in combat. After completing basic training Hitman was deployed to the war in ██████, 2008. During a battle in a heavily wooded area, Hitman managed to help his company Sergeant who was under fire and severely injured. The enemy closing in on his company he managed to hold them off for long enough to bandage him and evac from the area.
The foundation took interest in his surgical skills and opened an offer to him that he could not resist, being a part of the foundation and putting his speciality to good use. Over the next few years, the leadership team within medical took further interest in his capabilities becoming an asset to their efforts to efficiently perform different types of general surgeries. He slowly began climbing the ranks within medical being noticed by even the highest of powers within the foundation. The opportunity was given to him to join the leadership team after his successful surgery on the Director of Medicine to give her prosthetic hands. Upon his new position, he continued to guide others on his skills.
