Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?: I have one warning on my record, for FailRP. The warning was from a year ago, and I haven't had any punishments since.
Why are you applying for Security Captain?: There are numerous things motivating me to apply for Security Captain. After being on the server for a while now, I believe that becoming a Security Captain would be a comfortable step up, that would offer new challenges, and create room for furthering my knowledge on the server, while also having the opportunity to be a role model, and leader for GENSEC. I have always enjoyed my time on GENSEC, and the duties associated with GENSEC. Due to GENSEC being one of the first departments players are exposed to, there is the opportunity to meet a lot of new players. Becoming a Captain would give me the opportunity of ensuring these players have someone to help them learn, and set them off on the right course. The role of Captain to me would allow me to develop lasting relationships with others, and would help develop my skills even further. Another thing that has drawn me to apply for Captain is the ability to make an impact. I pride myself on being able to better whatever it is I am working on. GENSEC is an ever-improving force, and I feel as though taking on the role of Captain, I would have a greater opportunity to be a positive influence. One of my main motivators on the server is the sense of community. I want to be someone that anyone can feel comfortable going to, someone who can create opportunities for others to progress. Taking on the role of Captain would allow me to get to know individuals, and help build those in GENSEC up around me. Overall, I feel as though there are many things that motivate me in GENSEC. GENSEC is home to a lot of new players, and the opportunity to help build those around me up, while also being a leader and role model sounds like the best step for me and my current position.
What makes you suitable for Security Captain?: One of the most important things about me that makes me suitable for Security Captain is my character. I am a kind, outgoing, mature individual who when given the opportunity will do what I can do to make a positive impact on those around me. I feel as though it is crucial to have people in these positions to be approachable, as they are the ones who should be setting an example, and building those around them up. I consider myself to be approachable no matter the circumstances. Another thing that I find makes me suitable for this role is the experience I have on the server, and on GENSEC classes. I have been on the server for over a year now, and have developed a solid understanding of the lore, and rules in Site-65. This experience is something that can translate into me being able to effectively teach members of GENSEC important information. The server can oftentimes be daunting and difficult to learn, so I value the ability to teach others the information I have learned through my experiences. Personally, I would like to say I have gotten to know a good amount of people on the server. I have never truly set my mind in one department, which has made it more difficult for my name to be remembered by people at times. I acknowledge that I may not be as “well-known” as some individuals on the server, but everyday I do my best to interact with new people, and to further my relationships with others in the foundation. Not only do I have experience in GENSEC, I also have been a member of various regiments on the server such as Nu-7, and E-11. I have gotten experience all around the facility which could prove useful when teaching others about the server. Along with this experience in the server, I have extensive experience as a leader. I have years of experience in leadership positions in various communities, where I have led teams and mentored individuals. This experience as a leader is important being a Captain, as these are skills that a Captain needs. Overall, I think my motives, character, and experiences are some of the most valuable things that make me suitable for this position.
What are the responsibilities of the Security Captain in RP?: Within RP, Security Captains have a variety of responsibilities. Their responsibilities include overlooking GENSEC personnel, and ensuring the security of D-Block, and foundation members within D-Block. Captains are responsible for carrying out sweeps, ensuring GENSEC are actively performing their duties, and teaching GENSEC things when applicable. Outside of the management/ maintenance of D-Block and personnel, Captains are also responsible for hosting license tryouts, such as the Heavy Weapons License, Riot Response Team LIcense, and Sergeant tests. These tests are important for further developing other members in the foundation. Along with all these responsibilities, it is important for the Captains to remain professional, and be approachable. They should be a guiding figure, or role model that helps the Security department move toward a bright future.
Please give some lore about your Security Captain character and what storylines they would be involved in: Hypnos was a normal civilian, working the standard 9-5 job at his local supermarket. Each day started with the half-full cup of coffee, and the hint of orange in the sky from the approaching sunrise. His life began to feel extremely repetitive, wake up, work, get home, sleep and repeat. He noticed that the staff room bulletin board had been offering the chance at filling the open Security Guard position, so without hesitation in hopes to spice up his days, he applied. The process was strenuous, and it took 2 months to hear back with the news of his acceptance. This new job offered higher benefits, and pay; Hypnos was on Cloud-9..
2 years have passed, when Hypnos received a chilling call from a seemingly blank contact in the middle of the night; he let it ring out. That morning was not like the rest, Hypnos woke up in a chair, bright lights shining in his face, with nothing but the sound of quiet chatter among 3 other individuals in the room. The paper in front of him reads, Security Sector Cadet, Clearance Level 1; New Recruit: Hypnos. For the life of him he could not recall what brought him here, but something compelled him to work.
Hypnos’ time at the foundation was nothing out of the ordinary. A little restraint here, some gunfire there, but overall the maintenance of D-Block was the norm for him. After some time, he quickly found his place, making progress toward higher ranking, gaining access to more information and maybe the answer as to what force brought him to where he was at.
Another year has passed, and Hypnos has forgotten his past. His life was now one with the foundation. Hypnos holds the rank of Sergeant, and noticed an opening for the position of Captain plastered on the bulletin board. An unsettling feeling of deja-vu runs over Hypnos as he grabs the application from the stack. Filling this application out, no part of him could remember what was making him feel this deja-vu. The process was strenuous, and it took 2 months to hear back with the news of his acceptance. He was requested at Chief Thordan’s office, so with no hesitation, he made his way over. This was his moment, and as he sat down in that chair, the silence was first broken with a “Congratulations.. Captain.”
