Content Suggestion Impactful chat message editing

Content Suggestions will be reviewed by Content Team weekly, please allow time as not everything can be reviewed at once.
What does this suggestion change/add/remove:[/B]
The addition of visual effects to messages sent in chat to add extra flair and personality to something in RP via right clicking a highlighted message you wish to add an effect to.

Visual effects I'd like to see would include:
Light rumbling shaking effect.
Rumble then snapping the line of text you selected in half.
Strong shaking and jittering effect.
Color coding highlighted text.
Smooth wavy effect.

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:[/B]
Not that I have seen.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):[/B]
More RP situations where you can express in detail how a message should feel when you read it.
GM's get to really describe and get their point across for what they're trying to talk about.
A refreshing and interesting look instead of just plain flat text trying to describe a situation you're seeing in a boring way.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:[/B]
None other than if you count having to take time typing and editing.
The potential of a lot of dev work if the team has to make it from scratch and cannot find a way to import a framework from another chat addon.

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:[/B]
I think this should be accepted for all the people trying their best to make RP happen outside all the combat and breaches, its not a huge addition but is a very nice quality of life feature that can really enhance peoples roleplay.

Neutral +/-

Having special text doesn't really seem worth to add imo. It'd most likely never be used outside of very specific scenarios during RP. GMs usually do actions rather than words (or just use a microphone) so they'd probably not use this too. Also these effects seem like stuff that'd come straight from a DarkRP server.

But I am not flat out -Supporting this. Special text CAN have its uses, like yelling or talking as SCP-682, which can really add an impact for people who don't use mics like me. A problem I can see if this was added is that, the way you described, you'd have to right click the message to add a special effect after it was sent. It'd take a few seconds to even apply an effect so people would've already read it before they can see the special effect.

Chat effects could be used to better highlight messages if you color them to have them stand out like if CL4 people authorize AA you can have it color coded in a way they think is easy to distinguish. This would not be used solely for the RP scenerios I believe you to be picturing.

The effects would also apply to /me's and /it's as they are chat messages not just speaking as your character.
You can still use your mic but the effects is optional for people to add extra depth to their message or action they wish to give more life to. Also the effects I am describing actually do not come from any DarkRP server I've seen, the closest is rainbow text or flashing red, if anyone has seen it before they'll know what I mean.

Finally the effects would not be applied after you sent the message/action in chat, that would be impossible to code, what I mean is when you are typing, you click and highlight the word or sentence you wish to add and effect to, then right click. Right now theres only 3 options, Copy, Paste, & language all there would need to be is a dropdown tab labled "Effects" then would have either a preview of what it does to the side of the option, or you'll see it when you click the option and see it on the highlighted text in the chat box.

I mean... Sound cool. Don't really think it'd be that easy to implement at all though.

I can only imagine the whole chat shaking when 12 E-11 simultaneously scream "682 CB" in chat 70 times within 3 seconds
I sort of agree with the difficulty for implementation but they can likely pretty simply make it from scratch if the team cant find a framework thats available. Message effects really arent a dev hell they made all the current complicated custom content, effects are a cakewalk.

That would be dealt with via normal staff ruling or icly with their leadership. Its easily handled as long as the people in charge actually do their job.
