Why are you applying for Security Captain?
- I am applying for security captain because it is by far my favorite department in the facility. I might not have the most time on the server, but I know that it is what I want to do and go far in. I am not currently interested in joining any MTF at the moment, so I have nowhere else to go to gain experience. I wanted to try my luck here because Captain is the next step in becoming a serious member of GSD and I know that I can handle it. I want Gensec to be a fun but serious department for everybody and I think that that is possible under my purview.
What makes you suitable for Security Captain?:
-I think that I am suitable for security captain because GSD is definitely the role I take most seriously in this server. Ever since I got whitelisted for Sergeant, it is all I have played, and I love it. I think that I can take situations seriously and handle stressful times properly with the abilities that I have. I would make sure that D block was run fairly and orderly; while still making sure everybody has a good time, no one likes a hard ass. A lot of new members to the server get their first real introduction to combat in Gensec, and instead of having Cadets run around like Headless chickens shooting D-class for no reason, I could provide a place for them to learn the rules and take things seriously, all while everybody is enjoying the RP. I believe that any GSD/D-class you ask would have a positive opinion of me, as I try to keep things lighthearted and chill with my peers, but I can get the work done when times are tough. I might not have as many hours as other members of the server that want this role, but I know am certainly just as ready for it as anyone else could be.
What are the responsibilities of the Security Captain in RP?:
- It is a captain's duty to identify Code 2's and keep D-block safe. While watching over his Officers and keeping them in line, GSD is a team effort that requires coordination and swiftness, and it is a captain's job to maintain that. A captain also needs to make sure that all ethics policies are followed by his men, and that no rule-breaking occurs under his watch.
Please give some lore about your Security Captain character and what storylines they would be involved in:
-Jacob "Parkes" Rieper was a 27-year-old Male living in Ontario, Canada. He was well-mannered and had a nice life going for him until he fell in with some bad people when he got low on cash. Things went down during a small-town bank holdup and he found himself locked up until the end of his days. Due to the violent nature of his crime, Jacob was put with the worst of the worst, causing him to reflect on his actions and see what he had become. Turning this new leaf Jacob was desperate to escape, until he was approached by a mysterious man, offering him salvation. After a meeting with this mystery man, Jacob was offered a trial, one that if completed, warranted his freedom. With nowhere left to go, he accepted.
Swiftly afterwards he was Class-F'd and brought to Site-65, where he was put into D-block with the rest of the scum. Due to his inner conflict with his actions, Jacob was not a violent one anymore, he bided his time until the last day of testing.
He was low security, the perfect one for the job, at least that's what the researchers thought. They pulled him out on his final day and dragged him to 457's chamber. Jacob saw the Firey doom that awaited him and was ready to meet his end. Suddenly, he was blinded, couldn't see a thing, a voice told him to be still. A man brandishing explosives, hacking tools, and weapons led him by elastic cuffs to a new chamber....
SCP- Nine, One, Four, it read...
The Insurgent put him in the machine and set it to 1:1, Jacob was confused and scared, he heard the cogs turn and the wind blow. Excruciating pain he felt everywhere as his figure began to mutilate, after the dust settled, Jacob was not a low security inmate anymore, he was a Captain. Overcome by a wave of emotion, Jacobs life had been turned upside down in 2 months, and now he had lost the only thing he knew... Himself....
The Insurgent approached, offering Jacob a knife, before entering the machine himself. He accepted, however, Jacob looked upon himself in the reflection of the glass observation chamber, and he felt compelled, compelled to do something right for the first time in his life.... He turned around and hid behind the Output of the machine, where the insurgent stepped out, only to be met with Jacob's cold blade.
MTF arrived soon after, holding Jacob at rife-point, demanding an explanation. He told them everything, it was unheard of. The story sent shockwaves through the foundation until it reached the 0-5 council. Which upon hearing his tale, and his heroism, did something extraordinary, granting Jacob a full pardon, and offering him the role of that he had assumed by the machine. Jacob for once, felt accepted and welcomed somewhere, to which he obliged their offer. The council made it clear however that he was not to forget his past, and he was only to serve the foundation. Jacob understood, but asked what they meant, to which they assigned him his codename:
