For how long have you played on CG SCP: 10 months but I took a break due to medical reasons + moving to Germany from America.

Age: 20
In what country are you located?: Germany
Time zone: CET
Character name(s): James “Nut” McCullen
Civilian name: Mark Column
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): USA
Do you have a mic?: Yes
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held: SCP-096
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?: I have one ban, ERP (I said start digging in yo butt twin as a class-d for which I know is inappropriate.) It is permanent and stays on my record. It was a while ago. I have a warning for mixing. My other warnings are expired. I was told by staff I do not need to include those on any applications.
What makes you the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant?:
What makes me a good candidate for the Ethics Committee Assistant position is my experience leading others across many fields. I have held similar roles in many other communities. I am strict, and I work well with others. I am mature and able to make the proper decisions in certain intense situations. I have the knowledge and time to contribute what is needed for the position. I am experienced, but I am not afraid to make mistakes because I learn from my mistakes. I respect everyone, whether below my rank, working with me, or above, but if you don’t respect me, I don’t respect you. If accepted into this significant role, I will be prepared for whatever comes my way. I cope very well under pressure and stressful situations. “You have power over your mind, not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.” This quote by Marcus Aurelius guides me in many directions; the key points are to calm your mind and focus. I am using this example because, in any scenario, I need to act promptly; I know that calming my mind is the most important step when it comes to forming a solution. It would be considerably harder to make sound decisions in a high-stress environment without being prepared.
What are the responsibilities of Ethics Committee Assistants in RP?: Ethics Committee Assistants are members of site administration. They are tasked with approving directives and providing orders to Level-4 personnel as well as ensuring the site runs properly. They may also find themselves in the field of receiving complaints, serious misconduct reports and ethical violation claims. They are capable of assisting Ethics Members during official tribunals and logging cases into secure networks (SCP-Net) and archiving important documents. Similarly to ISD, they may be tasked with reviewing body cam footage and testing records in the event of unethical scenarios take place.
Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
James McCullen began his career in U.S. foreign affairs, working in diplomatic relations focused on treaty compliance and crisis negotiation with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). He built a reputation for looking beyond political outcomes and long term consequences of moral decisions. During a classified summit involving weapon concerns, he quietly identified irregular state actors operating behind diplomatic cover. Rather than publicizing this discovery, he handled the matter discreetly. That discretion led to contact with the SCP Foundation.|
He was recruited into the Department of External Affairs, where he served as a liaison in sensitive international containment matters regarding SCP objects, weaponry, and Doctor Wondertainment items. James negotiated quietly with foreign governments, worked with cross-border anomalies, and helped prevent escalation when Foundation operations risked diplomatic crises. He learned that secrecy alone is not enough and became more proactive in his duties. His promotion to Senior Agent followed a multinational containment incident in which he pushed for negotiation over force and prevented mass civilian casualties while preserving the veil of the SCP Foundation.
James McCullen became aware of how easily urgency can override ethics. He has seen justified actions become excessive. He believes the Foundation must remain disciplined not just operationally, but morally. His background in diplomacy gives him patience, neutrality, and respect for due process. In his work, he does not seek authority but accountability.
