Why are you applying for Special Agent?:
It's my opinion that DEA has a very special place in the server, during my run last time I felt like I wasn't restricted from doing much RP that I wanted to pursue. Despite the name, DEA is able to interact with the other departments in interesting ways, especially ISD and O5 when cooperating for common goals. Of course, maintaining relations with surface GOIs is one of the main focuses of the department. I enjoy navigating how to achieve the best outcome for the Foundation whenever new situations arise.
As well as the roleplay aspect, Special Agent is a combative role that assists in defending the site. I prefer DEA's playstyle over Nu-7 because of their emphasis on information gathering.
What makes you suitable for Special Agent?:
I understand how to get CL3 members of DEA invested in the roleplay and daily duties of the department. For instance, during my last run in DEA, I would frequently seek out newer players and get them to accompany me while we carried out operations. I would give them a good deal of trust, whether it be during interrogations or covert operations. I found that getting players involved actively makes them more likely to stick around in the department.
I kept relations between DEA and other departments at a high standard during my last run, I frequently cooperated with ISD when it came to cross-departmental operations. I don't believe in gatekeeping activities for one department, I would rather cooperate with others.
My experience will help the department a lot, I can point out potential pitfalls we may be walking into, and suggest ideas that worked in the past. I will require less time to get adjusted to how the department functions and can get right into improving it.
How many documents have you written? What makes a document good?:
I have written countless documents, spanning from interrogation logs, to incident reports, to contracts with other GOIs and much more.
The best documents are written in a clear and concise manner, with a table of contents and an emphasis on getting the point across, rather than trying to achieve some imaginary word count. Proper paragraphing is important to make the contents readable, as no one enjoys reading a wall of text. Inserting images wherever possible is also a good idea.
What are the responsibilities of the Special Agent in RP?:
- Training new agents/operatives.
- Calling out and responding to code 1 situations.
- Negotiating with GOIs.
- Conducting and authorizing infiltration operations against enemy GOIs.
- Assisting the Department Directors in realizing their vision for the department.
Please give some lore about your Special Agent character and what storylines they would be involved in:
