Hey there! This is the Character Bio for my MTF Nu-7 Character. The link is in the spoiler below, however, first I wish to give a fair warning (You saw that sensitive topic tag!)
The character is a member of the Nälka cult (Perhaps better known as 'Sarkics'). While, currently, the document does not yet contain much reference of more vile matters that are related to this religion (Explicit cannibalism and murder), it may in the future. As of this entry, the document does reference the following topics:
- Murder (Non-Explicit)
- Enscarrification (Explicit)
- Self-Harm (Explicit)
TL;DR (Or didn't want to read due to sensitive topics!)
John 'Lucky' Korvin (Originally known as Jonas Mikhael Korvin) hails from a proto-sarkic tribe that was scattered to the winds by GOC intervention, which resulted in the death of the majority of his family. He, since birth, has been rather unlucky but also a gentle-minded soul that generally believes that the Anomalous should be protected against harm/usage by others. He joined the Foundation following an incident in which he aided in the containment of a Sarkic-type anomaly.
I took a lot of inspiration for this Character from SCP-001 - 'Normalacy' (WJS's proposal) which I think is best surmised in the following quotes from the article in question:
Essentially, the article goes over 'Normalacy', which is nothing but a consensus of the O5 council as to what is and isn't 'anomalous'. Where it really hits though, is the notion that the O5 council could declare humanoid anomalies that pose no real harm as normal. They could let them be free to live their lives. Yet they do not- They do not, because as much as it is the duty of the Foundation to protect humanity from the anomalous, it is also its duty to protect the anomalous from humanity.
And we all know what humanity would likely do to the Anomalous if left to its own devices in doing so.
That sentiment resonated with me, so I decided to write up the character to fit it- An anomaly in his own right, dealing with trauma induced by his family being murdered by humanity left to its own devices with the anomalous (Through the GOC), and with a strong desire to protect the anomalous as a result.
So uh, yea, thanks for coming to my ted-talk. Feedback in the comments, cheers.

I'm going to tell you why.
Why the Foundation targets you. Why we deem you something to contain, to persecute. After all, there are far worse evils in the world. We kept our record of nuclear weapons above as an example. There are numerous genocides throughout history. The death toll from just the flu alone is far greater than the potential damage for thousands of the people and objects we contain, and yet we dedicate ourselves to branding you anomalous. Something not normal. Something inherently wrong. Something that cannot be allowed its peace.
Why?
I'm not going to patronize you and say there's nothing I can do. I am only one voice on the Council, and I can't change things on my own, that's true, but the decisions I make, and the way I let myself view your circumstance are a direct cause of people seeing fit to throw you into a box. Even if I can't change the document, I could remain one more advocate for your normalcy. After all, humanity has believed in ghosts and spirits for thousands of years. We all believe in the monster under our beds when we're children. These phenomena are very real, and very much a part of the way the world works. Why can't we just declare them normal? Why won't I free you from your torment?
It's because we aren't only here to secure, contain, and protect the world. We're here to secure, contain, and protect you.
Yes, you are a monster. But, whether we are deemed anomalous or not, so is every last one of us. And that means you deserve your existence.
We secure you.
We contain you.
We protect you.
And even if you still don't get why I'm doing this, please understand that I still love you.
