Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?
I’m applying to be an Executive Researcher because I really enjoy being a Senior and want to do even more to help the department and the Foundation. I’ve made tests that are fun, well-planned, and help people learn. I’ve also spent time helping other researchers, especially at night when things slow down, by reviewing documents and supporting Juniors as they grow. I’ve even helped researchers like Kaboing go from Junior all the way to Executive.
I want to keep building a strong training environment where everyone can improve. Becoming an Executive would let me support more people, keep research moving, and grow even more myself. I’m ready to lead and help others succeed.
What makes you suitable for an Executive Researcher?:
I’m suitable for Executive Researcher because I already lead projects, train others, and keep things moving without needing a hand to hold; I focus on under‑studied SCPs to hopefully improve containment and being in a later timezone means I’m available when current executives aren’t, so I can review drafts, run overnight tests, and mentor junior researchers during off‑hours, keeping momentum and helping people grow.
How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?
To me, an excellent document has a clear purpose and shows exactly how the research helps the Foundation. I make sure each write-up has a goal and a clear, step-by-step plan to reach it, and offers backup plans if the first plan fails. Good research lays out all possible outcomes and how we will respond to each one.
What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?:
An Executive Researcher guides and supports the team, sets clear standards, and drives research forward. They help Junior, Regular, and Senior Researchers by giving feedback, refining documents, and being a constant presence, especially during quiet hours when leadership matters most.
They’re responsible for grading and sign-offs, making sure submissions meet department standards before signing off. They are the forefront of Site 65
Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Josh 'Jandal' Blondeau began his time at the Foundation as a janitor, quiet, observant, and far removed from the research wing. He never saw himself as the academic type, but late-night shifts brought unexpected conversations with researchers. Over time, he asked more questions, offered ideas, and slowly earned their trust. What started as casual curiosity turned into genuine interest, and eventually, a role in active testing. His transition wasn’t planned; it was organic, shaped by instinct and a desire to understand the anomalies he once cleaned around. Now, Josh is known for his grounded approach and documentation,
