'Carter'

Steam ID:

STEAM_0:1:109715594

Do you have a mic?:

Yes

What server are you applying for?:

SCP-RP

Is this the first application you made? If no, link all previous applications:

096: [Link to 096 Application]

Exec: [Link to Exec Application]

22415: [Link to 22415 Application]

Have you received any kicks/bans/warnings? And why?:

- Ban for MRDM when I was new, FailRP, and RDM (Got removed).

Do you have any previous experience as a Gamemaster/Event Manager in a community?:

- Very minimal; I have an event ongoing right now, and Naffen knows about it.

Do you have any previous experience with serious roleplay?:

- Only on this server.

How many hours can you be on every day?:

- Anything from 2 hrs+.

Why do you want to become a Gamemaster on our server?:

- As a player on CI/Foundation, I've always found myself getting caught up in roleplay events/starting them myself. So, I was thinking to myself, why would I not just apply to be a GM, giving me more toys to play with and roleplay with instead of just using /me or /it since they only work if people can be bothered to look in chat, and if they were there when I sent it. But if I have a physical prop in front of me, they can figure out what I'm doing just by context clues. I have so many ideas for RP that just need GM/Admin powers to do (Some Amazing, Some just horrible or have just been done many times before), but one thing is for sure; I find a way to put my little twist on it that would be fun for everyone from D-class to the O5 commit (and other GOI's if they are involved).

And another thing that has been bothering me a lot is after an event, there are just people saying in the OOC L event that didn't last longer than 5 minutes. Not for the people not figuring it out or due to it being rushed. Just the overall idea is nothing above average even for a daily event that needs to be done. The GM team could have done something way better. I wish to be part of said team helping everyone serious about RP to have fun. I always wanted to make a storyline and have other people enjoy it, but I never had the opportunity to do so.

I hope this might be the opportunity I need to open up my creative mind and let it all flow out.

What do you think you would be able to help us with on the server? Why are you special over the other applicants?:
I'm not special in any way. Everyone has their skills and abilities. Some people make passive roleplay while others make more hands-on, but I love to make both, where everyone knows what's going to happen but never when or how they would be doing their thing, then BAM they have been put into a storyline they have been reading up on for a while, in the heart of the action chasing down whatever has happened, trying to keep it locked away.

Simply put, what makes me a good choice is the element of surprise, the unknown always hiding behind you.

Please List 3 small event ideas (Which would involve at least one side of the server):
1. Having a D-class steal the identity of a researcher/GSD and try to blend in the best they can:

The D-class would be an SCP that breached containment, a mind hijacker of some sort that just takes control of one's body, killing them before they could do or say anything. While this SCP is jumping around from host to host, draining its brain from all that it needs, it tries to make it out to the surface and farm the world for its sustenance. Information.

2. The PW blast doors shut and everyone on both sides must figure out how to open them (aka a puzzle game):

The blast doors in the Personnel wing have shut, locking in everyone unfortunate to be in there at that time. People must try to open the doors (without going into SA's office and just checking it that way). Finding Electrical boxes in PW and trying to fix them to find the faulty one, while the people on the outside use brute force to open it up, throwing tables and chairs, trying to cut a hole in the door, blowing off the hinges. But once the people on the inside figure out what happened, they would report it to the "Head Engineer" (Event team), and he would fix it for the time being.

3. Since X-mas is around the corner, have a ceasefire (Like that one in Sainsbury's ad):

SOP-C, CI, and GOC go to the open area next to PD (No Man's Land) and have a fun time kicking a ball around and sharing stories about what goes on in bunks, just like the Sainsbury's advert/WW1 X-mas miracle recorded almost 110 years ago.

Please List a Map change event idea (Involving both sides and the entire server):
MC&D Scouts report back to their headquarters in New York, showing the Pinewood has a lot of potential in selling artifacts of old, and weapons of new. Since they are focused on only getting money.

MC&D set up their shop in No mans land on surface. Selling guns, SCPs captured from othersites during a breach, and unknown anommalyes at an auction, SCPs could be anything from SCP-500-K to SCP-3540 caring very little on who bids or wants it. all they want it to make money and a lot of it. they would sit down and talk to everyone no matter what setting up an old school auction selling to whom ever has the money to put down.

List an example mission for each of the following:
O-1: The Unethical
Unknown to anyone, a Cognito hazard has been dropped into the O-1 Bunks by CI Deep covers. Now, this isn't a normal mind-controlling anomaly; this one makes you go against what your core is telling you. Nay, your very being is telling you. The most Ethical MTF group, The Protectors of the Ethics Committee, has turned Unethical. They have one goal in mind, and that's to get you to join them or die trying, and here is how:

Step 1. Once the Omega-1 Operatives interact with this... Thing... They start to shake; their eyes water, their jaw drops, and they are looking into the void. The longer they look, the more they look back, corrupting them. Twisting their morals, their very ideologies are being moulded into something that would make their former selves sick to the core.

Step 2. They would get their bosses corrupted as well, ruining the Ethics Committee. The once bastion of morals and hope for the foundation staff who needed protection has turned into a wicked version of its former self. Working with other GOIs to ruin the FLC (e.g., letting CI in to kill as many people as they can, GOC to destroy as many anomalies as possible). Driving the foundation's ethics into the ground, arming the D-class, letting them take their homes back, setting them free, and ruining everything the foundation has worked so hard for.

Step 3. Expand! EXPAND! Driven mad by the anomaly that has control over their brains, the Ethics Committee has set up a meeting with Overseers from across the foundation, giving them the power this entity has bestowed upon them, driving the foundation down a hole it can never recover from.

Step 4. The foundation ethics code has been nothing but a distraction from real success; it has been holding them back for aeons, not letting them be their true selves, monsters in the field of research.

Step 5: The cure. Once the foundation has been overrun by this anomaly, GOC would be called in with a spray of Y-blockers spraying it around the foundation and through the vents, causing everyone to return to their former selves, forgetting the monsters they were. GOC would then lie to them and say it was a raid by [Redacted] (Serpent's Hand or Dr. Wondertainment or any other GOI).

A-1: Our Red Right Hand
Propaganda can do many things to a man. It can turn the most powerful man into nothing but a coward, and the most loyal into traitors. It's that "What if" in the back of their head.
What if we went there

What if i was the one who opened that damn door

What if i went in that room

What if i saw that thing

What if it wasnt 1948

What if....

Step 1. The CI's leader, the engineer, and his wonderful engine are revealed. All of CI and its splinter cells are gathered up to see this once-in-a-lifetime event. The man from their propaganda posters is real, and so is his wonderful creation. Members of A

Step 2: Once A-1 has arrived at the location where the engineer and his creation are going to be, they would try to blend in as CI. Little did they know their world was about to get flipped upside down. Being there was part of the Engine's whole plan. A-1 starts to spray their guns around, knowing that they have been found out, trying to free themselves from the cage they have been locked in. But as they spray and their ammo starts to run dry, they note that the men they have killed are nothing more than D-class dressed up to be like Delta command.

Step 3: Those who do not heed the word of the engine are now its enemies. The Alpha-1 members that have been caught in the trap of the engine have resorted to using their guns as clubs and spears, thrusting and slamming at anything or anyone that gets near. One by one, they start to get corrupted and fall down to the ground, only to wake up, giving in to the engine and following the engineer.

Step 4: Once the former A-1 members have been "corrected," they have been tasked with returning to the foundation and killing the Overseers and Ethics Committee since they have been getting in the way of the steaming engine and its plan. A few of the A-1 that haven't been sent out are pretending to be O5-1, 2, 3, and 4 since they knew it was a trap all along. They just wanted to show off their cruel power to demonstrate to the foundation that they could send men to their deaths with just a simple word.

Step 5: The A-1 members that haven't been sent out slay the new CI-Alphas that have tried to enter their base and kill their bosses. They lay siege to the foundation. After that, heavy amnestics flow into the foundation, causing everyone to forget what happened.

NU-7/E-11: Ding Dong!
Due to MTF Nu7 Hammer Down operatives constantly arguing with MTF Epsilon 11, bullying each other in comms, leaving harmful pranks in each other's bunks, and even faking documents to get their COs in trouble, MTF Nu-7 has had enough of it after leaving an SCP-001 Document labelled "SCP-001 Ding Dong Ditch."

Step 1: Once the NU7 Commander has been killed, his men don't have time to mourn his death; they just want revenge, served right to E-11's doorstep. E-11, not knowing what happened upstairs, were unprepared. All they saw was both lifts for the Heavy containment zone had been called up while they were preparing for a CI raid that no one called out. They saw it was NU7 and called off the alarms. But little did they know what was about to happen was worse than anyone could have thought.

Step 2: The men who were once fighting side by side with E-11, keeping SCPs in and CI out, have now turned on each other. The race for blood is on, and the poor souls on the losing end must pay. NU7 would rush down to E-11 bunks and run around HCZ while killing any E-11 they find. Similarly, E-11, once HCZ is clear/no NU7 are going down there, would rush up to PW to kill NU7s. Game masters would arm both sides with experimental guns to complete the objectives.

Step 3: ISD spectating. Once the word of NU7's hostility to E-11 got out, the foundation got scared. They sent out MTF Omega-1 and Alpha-1 to watch them and make sure they don't harm any researchers, GSD, medics, or anyone who works for the foundation.

Step 4: O5-1 has had enough of this. His site has been overrun by bloodthirsty men who seek out nothing but revenge. He calls for the help of MTF IOTA-5, codenamed "Damn Feds" (Gms/people we trust to RP), to storm the site and kill off any hostile NU7/E-11 in LCZ and HCZ. With the help of IA and DEA to arrest the ones who are yet to cause any harm. Everyone would be brought to the lecture hall in PW and have a little chat.

Step 5: Once everyone has been captured and brought back, O5-1 and the rest of the Overseers stand in front of everyone and call out the MTF unit commanders, ordering them to stand in front of them and apologize to each other's men for putting their lives at risk for no reason other than to settle some petty squabble.

CI/UNGOC: The Unlikely Alliance?
The Chaos Insurgency and The United Nations Global Occult Coalition have been at each other's necks since day one. Since their objectives don't align very well, CI wants to use the SCPs as weapons of mass destruction while UNGOC wants them all gone. They can't hurt anyone if they don't exist. But for some reason, the CI Delta Command has ordered everyone to team up with GOC to storm the foundation and drain them of their SCPs. And who are they to say no? Going in as waves crashing into the bastion of hope protecting the world from the unknown.

Step 1: UN (Declassified name for GOC) and PDF (Pinewood Defense Force- Declassified name for CI) would meet up with the mayor of Pinewood and tell him that they got reports of the CAF (Canadian Armed Forces- Declassified name for foundation) harming and scaring the people of Pinewood into obeying their word. The mayor gets shaken to the core after hearing this. CI and GOC march to the Foundation's Main Gate and lay siege to it for hours to come. Once in, they make their way down to EZ, then LCZ, killing anyone who looks their way.
Step 2: Once in, GOC goes into each SCP's Containment chamber and gets rid of it bit by bit, using their ADB Beam to turn said SCP to dust. Moving from inanimate storage to Lower LCZ, killing everything, breaking 914. Finally, once LCZ is safe, a few men would be left behind to watch the flank while the rest of them move on down to HCZ.
Step 3: The fight carries on; nothing but empty bullet shells are left in the way of the CI juggernaut, Type Blue, and the GOC's almost infinite funding of guns and weapons. Once HCZ Prim is secured, the low ranks left behind would push down, holding a safer and easier-to-hold choke point, shutting blast door after blast door, slowing the foundation down and buying GOC and CI more and more time. After clearing out Upper HCZ from all of its SCPs (except the unkillable aka 096, 087, and so on), they would push down into HCZ, where the real fight is. They take down SCPs one by one.
(Ending 1 "The Curtain call" ). Once all SCPs are dead (IF SL or SGM approves) The UNGOC and CI would break the masquerade telling the people of Pinewood that they are safe from the anomalous eniteys left in the SCP foundation and get them to meet the men who run this site the overseers. they would be left in the Pinewood town square and the people of Pinewood would have their way with them

(Ending 2 " The unknown.") After all, SCPs that could be killed are dead. the GOC would shake hands with CI and walk on out of the foundation burning the place down with all of its dead bodies and rivers of blood. making them look nothing more than a clump of ash and spilled wine. once at the surface, PDF would host the biggest banquet ever seen with drinks of all kinds and food from all over the world served free of charge for The UN and the People of Pinewood. The Delta command and UNGOC Commanders are confused as they see the Commander of CI hosting this event. thinking what could he be planning.

Foundation Staff: The book Fair:

"The Wanderer's Library is the hub of all knowledge throughout every universe and dimension. Its endless halls carry every book that has or ever will be written (and several that won't). Scholars from worlds unknown stalk its aisles and trash bins for forbidden knowledge. It would take several lifetimes to read the contents of even one shelf in the Library."

What is a Library? *reaches for a book rested on the table* ah yes the Oxford Languages Dictionary my beloved. Ehem.

Library
/ˈlʌɪb(rə)ri/
noun
a building or room containing collections of books, periodicals, and sometimes films and recorded music for use or borrowing by the public or the members of an institution.
"a university library"
a collection of books and periodicals held in a library.
"the Institute houses an outstanding library of 35,000 volumes on the fine arts"
a room in a private house where books are kept.
"there was a library that Uncle Hilbert used as his study"

Now that we have that out of they way. Welcome to our humble Library, We call our selfs The wanderer's Library we are a group that focus on collecting all information on anything that existed, exists or will exist. people call us nerds and other hurtful names. but look at what happend when the library of alexandria bured down 48 BCE (Before Common Era) the world at large shed a tear when we lost thousends of books art peices and scintific discoveries. if it wasnt burrned down all these many years ago im sure we would of been able to drive flying cars or teliport placese. now that doesnt sound so far fetched does it? you have men working for you that can kill people with their brains. guns that fire pure bolts of plasma, a red pill that cures everything!

Step 1: A man covered in rags enters the foundation and heads into the core sector. He draws on the wall with a pen, prompting Foundation staff to intervene. The man takes a step back, jumps into the wall, and disappears. A researcher instructs a D-class to run into the wall. The D-class disappears, reappearing moments later with a book titled "The Tales of the Foundation." ISD confiscates the book, knowing it contains information from the Wanderer's Library.

Step 2: Research, medical personnel, and their escorts enter the library to map out the area. To their surprise, it's endless, with some bookshelves empty, others old and dusty. Despite the exploration, all staff are administered Class-A amnestics and stripped of any documents found.

Step 3: News of this new doorway reaches the surface, attracting interest from CI, GOC, and the parawatchers. Everyone wants to enter to find names of Foundation personnel, ways to terminate SCPs, information about SCPs, or whatever their craving in that realm. Endless outcomes, endless books, endless everything.

Step 4: Once everyone gathers their information, the man comes out, wipes the doorway away as if drawn with chalk, and leaves. People continue to bump into the wall, hoping to find answers. The man is long gone, walking out of the foundation while everyone is busy trying to control the information they might have obtained.

Hello Muffin,
I will be giving you a -support . This is due to the following reasons:
- Firstly, the application itself looks like it has been written in 15 minutes. I am missing ALOT of detail on almost every single event.
- When looking at the 3 small events, they seem severly underdetailed and not really original. The first one is basically 035 but as a D-class, the second one could be interesting but would probally disturb roleplay too much if played for too long (Seeming as you basically lock O-1, SA and Research away from the whole site. and the third one is not really an event. Its something that can already be done by the roleplay leaders and is something that is already happening soon.
- The map change event seems more of a suggestion instead of an actual (map change) event.
- The O-1 event does not fit the actual O-1. If you ever interacted with them OOC then they are sometimes even more unethical then the average A-1 player.
- The A-1 event has no roleplay behind it and seems like a very large infobreach for no reason. Also thinking of lore then A-1 will rather off themselfs instead of turning to the other side.
- The Nu-7/E-11 event is basically just mass RDM on a whole other level. This is not roleplay in my opinion.
- CI/GOC event is basically an infill at the same time and is not an example of roleplay in my opinion.
- And lastly the foundation staff event, this will probally be taken over by MTF units if it plays out the way you state it.

Goodluck!

Hey Dutch,
Just wanted to reply to your comment, thank you for taking time out of your day to give me suggestions on how to improve my "event brain" (patent pending ).but I must explain to you my taught prosses. I'll go in order the same way you put it.

"- Firstly, the application itself looks like it has been written in 15 minutes. I am missing a lot of detail on almost every single event."
The application as a whole took over 4 hours from start to finish (thinking of ideas, typing and correcting anything wouldn't seem fun for the player/keep the server healthy, not to mention formatting to make it easy to read.)

"- When looking at the 3 small events, they seem severely underdetailed and not original. The first one is basically 035 but as a D-class, the second one could be interesting but would probably disturb roleplay too much if played for too long (It seems as if you lock O-1, SA and Research away from the whole site. and the third one is not an event. It's something that can already be done by the roleplay leaders and is something that is already happening soon."

I agree to some extent that but some events that SGMs have hosted before are just clean rip-offs of other SCPs. sure it isn't an original idea, but the fact that everyone who isn't in RP has to play a game of Where's Waldo across the whole site seems kind of fun doesn't it? getting a manhunt set up and sending them down. and whoever catches the SCP/entity would get a question of theirs answered.

for the 2nd event yea I agree that it locks people out for a short period and looking back on it it might not be the best of ideas, but we are only human we can't make the best events all the time or have the best ideas from the start, having a team of like-minded Game Masters who all come from different backgrounds and upbringings would be able to spot the errors in each others plans cross-checking and making sure it would be fun

last but not least for the 3rd event, don't you think me thinking of something another GM has already thought about is a good sign that my head is in the right place?

"- The map change event seems more of a suggestion instead of an actual (map change) event."
if by this you mean something temporary then here:

MC&D rolled up to Pinewood after hearing of their scouts making a lot of money selling special weapons, SCP's and Information from other GOIs to Site 65. it would even be a good idea to build on CI/MC&D good terms as it is since in lore their ideologies line up rather well. once wants money and the other one wants guns, info, and SCPs. so they help each other out more often than not

"- The O-1 event does not fit the actual O-1. If you ever interacted with them OOC then they are sometimes even more unethical than the average A-1 player."
Well yeah of course it wouldn't fit O-1 the whole point of that SCP is to twist and corrupt people. for example, it would make CI moral and friendly to the foundation, and (in this situation) the most ethical MTF unethical. As you said OOC they are unethical but correct me if I'm wrong this is a roleplay situation, and MTF Omega-1 are the most ethical on paper. like what's the point of having events and RP as a whole if we are going to focus on OOC?

"- The A-1 event has no roleplay behind it and seems like a very large info breach for no reason. Also thinking of lore then A-1 will rather off themselves instead of turning to the other side."
I dont want to tell you what has and doesn't have roleplay, but while writing this I was thinking of the CI's creation by 05 where they would take A-1 and make them into the dirty men of the foundation doing all "off the record" stuff that wouldn't look good on the 05's part. and give callbacks to where they bumped into the engine and all that. sure it's a large info breach but it would give A-1 and DEA a chance to sit down and sort everything out, and do some /OC roleplay since most of their interos are Screaming at CI and keeping them locked in a room for 30 minutes. and say it up. I agree it could use some more work but the plot of that story is viewed by many and deemed to be the most interesting part of other GOIs

"- The Nu-7/E-11 event is just mass RDM on a whole other level. This is not roleplay in my opinion."
Sure the way that I typed it out it just seems like RDM, but you have to keep in mind that NU7/E-11 have a bit of hostility towards each other Especially since NU7 is split into 2 parts HH and GA (Hammer Head and Guardian Angel.) and they do the job of E-11 and ISD so the hostility is there since once group is trying to do the jobs of 2 MTF units. sure we could build on this idea more and add more role play to it by making them fight each other not with guns but actions, NU7 running down there telling E-11 to go do [insert something boring]. but you see where I'm coming from, don't you?

"- CI/GOC event is an infill at the same time and is not an example of roleplay in my opinion."
If you chop it up to its most basic idea yes it is, but what we could do is have a meeting with GOC and CL4+ personnel and get them to vote if GOC get rid of a few SCPs that are deemed too deadly "XK-SCPs" once The voting goes south, and almost everyone votes no GOC get upset they talk to CI Deta command and they pass the message on. a few days pass by then they get confirmation to match on into to foundation with GOC and their ADBs killing every SCP to attach eave the engine "plan" and GOC gets to complete their mission obj

"- And lastly the foundation staff event, will probably be taken over by MTF units if it plays out the way you state it. "
I will agree with you on this one, I could have phrased it better, for example, getting a member of [GM "MTF"] to go down with CL3+ personnel alongside their DPT DIR's approval giving Research and Medical the chance to go inside to find what they are looking for and if the [GM "MTF"] deems it to be out of their CL they just get sent back up and class-Aed to forget what happen. that is a better approach than to get ISD to go in there with them.
