What does this suggestion change/add/remove:

Adds a system where site admin and above can edit the clearance level of the following jobs for specific individuals:
-Thaum
-Cartographer
-Tech Expert
-Janitor
- Chef
-Engineer
-IT tech
-And whatever else I am forgeting

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
Similar ones but Im suggesting an actual system to go off of

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- Dpt heads for ETS done in character
- Removes need for bypass in specific areas
- Removes need for constant printing of keycards every death

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- Dev time
-Abuse

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
This suggestion allows people who deserve to have a higher clearance to have it. It is my opinion that jobs like these often have people who use them differently. For example the ETS jobs are known as minge jobs to alot of people however, there is people who genuinely do their job and need a higher clearance to do their duties. There is few people who I would trust with this but I think those people deserve to have this chance. Hopefully this will encourage more people to do their job and in return get the possibility of gaining a higher clearance.

ET&S Don't need their own department leads and such and the keycard change already facilitie some of this roleplay.

I could enjoy the idea of carto/thaum CL4 for those who hold like an exec whitelist. But also.. Ehhh.
Every other dpt has it? Why does ETS not get one? In my opinion they are in extreme need for leadership. This is not the only reason I ask for it, janitors for example are pretty much only able to be in a few common areas. I have seen some instances of janitors being given Cl3's for HCZ but people die and leave the game alot. It makes no sense why we would only have janitors for some of the main areas.

Site staff is much smaller in gameplay loop than other core departments that require several roles to function.

as for your example of janitor. Why do they need a CL3? can they not just be escorted into HCZ? IF they see something that is well above their clearance (And not say.. Then numbers of SCP's... the fact there's clearance 3/4 SCP's) You can amnesticate them.

Your example doesn't justify why specific people need to be given X and Y clearances on a per person basis (A system that would likely require vjob to be changed quite a lot. another reason this is more than likely to be denied), Just use the keycard printers.

I can think of reasons for like every job on the server. Janitor: someone needs to know how to properly clean 008 without fucking up. Engineering: someone needs to know how to maintain SCP chambers without fucking them up, and generally do RP related to CL4 areas, e.g. F3, SCPs, etc. and systems like lockdowns, blastdoors, etc.

I think if there was a way of printing keycards or doing this suggestion while including overrides, it might be better. E.g. giving certain tech experts access to CL3 SCPs but not e.g. garage, or giving a janitor access to UHCZ but not the CL2 SCP chambers. About the only job I can think of that might never need different clearances is the chef job.
