What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
My suggestion will totally rework the keycard system that we currently have.

First of all there would be a removal of all the keycards we currently have and have them replaced with the following.

- Security Cadet - Officer, Security Access card which will give access to designated areas while SGTs would have access to more areas

- MTF NU7 Access Card would give access to EZ areas + HCZ entrance, NU7 COs will have more perms

- E-11 Access card would give access to all SCP objects in HCZ and basic areas

- Administrative Card (SA, OSA, ECA) would give access to all CL4 areas that we currently have

- Internal Security Card, access to all CL4 areas

- Site Command access card gives access to everything

- IA and DEA keycards would give access to basic stuff onsite

- CI and GOC keycards would give access to the respective areas they currently have

- Engineering access card for CL1 - 2 areas

With this change all the keycard scanners would be changed and given a different pattern than the level of the card

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- Easier to access zones that you gotta access with your job
- More distinct IDs

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- Massive rework
- Harder to aquire IDs

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
Very cool change of keycards easier to access things without having to call everyone for a door

The idea itself is nice, but I think on the current Site-65 it isn't needed.
I think it would be an excellent feature for Site-9 instead.

While it would be much better for lore and the gameplay loop, the amount of time needed for such a small change is not 100% worth it. This also fucks over DCs so maybe allow them to hack the card for better access

very complicated, the system we have right now is nice

also, this would severely mess up comms. you'd just have to use ocomms anytime you want to talk to anybody that's not in your "keycard group"

I support this due to the ability to ensure people enter where they should and don't accidentally wonder off.

But maybe only on the keypads like MilRP so comms don't become weird.

The current system Is fine, I don’t really see a point in reworking it.

Like you said, this involves a massive rework which honestly just seems like change for the sake of change. I believe that our current keycard system works fine. Perhaps a more "specialized" keycard system could work for Site-9?

-Amazing Idea
-Adds realism

-Stops minges from going to places they shouldnt be
-Current System doesn't need changed
-A lot of Coding (for every new area)
-Comms would potentially have to be reworked
-Makes it harder for CI/GOC to infiltrate (Basically a HUGE nerf for no reason)

-Should be on Site-9

helps with area control, making sure people are focused on areas they are meant to be

Hi @MazuzaM,

Thanks for taking the time to make a server suggestion.

The Content Team has chosen to deny your suggestion because, whilist it is a good suggestion, this would take alot of development time and work, which we do not find necessary considering our current keycard system works well.

Your suggestion will now be locked and marked as denied.
