As a previous member of the committee, I have the understanding and experience to ensure the foundation is operating under ethical grounds.
Ability to think critically: The Ethics committee needs to be able to think critically and carefully about the ethical implications of research proposals. They should be able to analyze the potential risks and benefits of a study and consider how to minimize any potential risks to participants, as well as be able to weigh the risks on what is needed to better the foundation versus crossing the line.

- The ethics committee reviews applications for ethics assistants and makes amendments to the code of ethics.
Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee character and what storylines they would be involved in:
- Dan McCarthy had always been fascinated by the strange and unexplained. As a young man, he had spent countless hours reading about paranormal phenomena, alien encounters, and other mysterious occurrences. So when he heard about the SCP Foundation, a secret organization dedicated to containing and studying anomalous objects, creatures, and phenomena, he knew he had to be a part of it. Dan spent years working his way up through the ranks of the Foundation, starting as a doctor and eventually becoming a medical consultant. He was known for his intelligence, resourcefulness, and dedication to the cause. He had faced some of the most dangerous and bizarre anomalies the Foundation had ever encountered, and he always managed to come out on top. One day, Dan was approached by the Ethics Committee, a group of high-ranking members of the Foundation who were responsible for making important decisions about how to handle anomalous objects and creatures. They told him that they had noticed his exceptional work and wanted him to join their ranks as an Ethics Member. Dan was honored and humbled by the offer. He knew that being an Ethics Member would be a huge responsibility, but he was ready for the challenge. He accepted the position and began his new duties with enthusiasm and determination. As an Ethics Member, Dan had access to some of the most classified information within the Foundation. He worked closely with other members of the Ethics Committee to make difficult decisions about how to handle anomalous objects and creatures, always weighing the risks against the benefits. Dan's work as an Ethics Member earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. He became one of the most respected and influential members of the Foundation, and his contributions to the organization were invaluable. Thanks to Dan's dedication and expertise, the SCP Foundation was able to successfully contain and study some of the most dangerous anomalies the world had ever known, and the world was a safer place because of it.
