Your in-game name: Larry Cee (Was different when banned)
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:0:635227645
Your steam community link: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561199230721018/
Date of ban: 11/28/2023
What is your exact ban reason (shows when you try to connect): Says contact SL, reason was I put too much morphine in 914 at once and it started lagging the server horribly which was not my intention.
Who banned you: Wrath
Ban length?: 16 Weeks
What server were you banned on?: (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): USA
Link a copy of the in-game rules here (the url): https://www.civilgamers.com/community/threads/scp-rp-rules.2244/
What will you do to stop this from happening again: Never put anything over 25 morphine in 914 at once
Prior to this, have you ever been warned/kicked/banned? No active warns, kicks, or bans before this occured.
Why should you be unbanned: It was an honest mistake and I now realise that morphine can cause lag inside 914 due to the way Gmod collisions work.
How can you ensure that you won't break any other rule?: The last warn I received was over a year ago and I genuinely enjoy playing on the server.
Why do you want to rejoin this server?: It was a mistake which I now know to avoid and to not commit again. I am sorry for the lag it caused and it was carless of me to put that many in. I hope that I may be able to continue playing on this server going forward and learn for my mistakes.

Hello,

You were banned by me after Nomad asked me to ban you during what appeared to be a crash attempt. Nomad extended this ban to permanent shortly after he preserved the server's health. You also talked to Steeven and I about it in teamspeak after the ban was issued about an hour or two later.

As far as specific details on what you did, the SL member who is responding to this post will need to contact me, as I am not going to publicly post what you did for people to try and reproduce it.

That is everything from my end, please wait for the member of SL handling this ban appeal to respond.

I am aware that it does look like I purposely did try to crash the server but I was not aware that using the amount that I did would cause lag that severe. It was a total accident and I tried picking some up to stop the lag but in less then 10 seconds after it started I recieved a kick then the ban. I am aware that my negligence caused the lag and I should have learned how gmod physics work when it comes to a mass amount of items. The punishment for this is fair and is probably kinder then what most others would get for almost crashing the server. I am not asking that you believe that it was an accident as you have all the justification to believe otherwise. I am asking for a second chance that I may be able to rejoin under close watch of the staff team and if something even close to this ever occurs again to instantly blacklist me. Also I'm not sure what you mean when you stated that Nomad made it permanent, as far as I see its still a 16 week ban.

Thank You for Reading

Complaint Response

Hi @Larry C.,

Thanks for making a ban appeal.

The reason you were banned was due to having a large amount of props colliding causing the server to lag. After struggling to get to you I saw you with a bunch of props which I then commanded Wrath to ban you for crash attempt. After which I then also banned you it said that you were banned permanently although it seams that it didn't go through.

I understand that a perma ban is fair for something like this and is in fact very tame compared to some other things, like a blacklist. This also is not a complaint against you or Wrath but more so trying to explain my side and how it was an accident which is causing me to ask that I may have a chance to come back to the server. Again I am genuinely sorry for the scare, the lag, and the ruining of rp for the whole server. I understand that this isn't something that can be brushed off or treated like a joke due to it being a genuine cause for concern. I can only hope that I could get a lighter sentence then the one currently given.

I hope we can move past this,
Sincerely,
-Larry Cee

Appeal Denied

Hi @Larry C. ,

Thanks for taking the time to make a ban appeal.

After reading all responses i have deiced to deny your appeal for crash attempting the server as we do not like it when try to do that. It can be seen as it wasn't your intentions but when someone drops multiple props in a single area to us that looks very much like crash attempt.

You may re-appeal in 2 weeks
