No warnings, kicks, or bans.

Why are you applying for Medical Consultant?:
I am applying to be a consultant because I really love the medical department. I love running around healing people, keeping them alive, and curing any diseases I encounter. I enjoy this work and would like to serve as a consultant, training new people and sharing my enthusiasm for the department with others.
I'm on site a lot, and if I were to be a Consultant, I would be able to explore new fun areas such as psychological exams with SCPs and working with the Ethics Committee to help make these containments more humane

What makes you suitable for Medical Consultant?:
What makes me suitable for the position of consultant is that I am knowledgeable about medicines and medical procedures, and I genuinely enjoy helping people. I regularly patrol the site to check on people posted, such as going to E-11 to ensure they aren't sick down there at primary. They rarely have a chance to come up to the medical bay, so I ensure they aren't left isolated from quality medicine. I also love to help new members of the medical department, such as medical trainees, by giving them a rundown of medicines and how they can be used, far beyond the usual treatments, such as the antibiotics we use for chest infections. I love telling them about more rare things like Quetiapine and anesthetic drugs we use in surgeries and then showing them medical devices and how they work. As a consultant, I can provide a tour and an informational introduction, then run a medical licensing test. Once they become skilled enough, I could host combat medic tryouts.
Please explain an in-game medical procedure of your choice:
Physical Examination:
  • Step one: someone requests, or you ask to perform, a physical examination on them. Following their consent, you take them to the medical room and ask them to sit on the examination bed.
  • Gather basic patient information, including name, age, occupation, and the reason for the evaluation.
  • Ask some standard checkup questions, such as whether they have been experiencing any pain, whether they are tired, whether they have had any surgeries, or whether they are on any medications.
  • Ask lifestyle questions such as diet, exercise, sleep, smoking, and recent contact with any anomalous objects.
  • Perform the actual physical examination by checking their blood pressure, ears, and mouth. Check their heart and lungs, and check their pupillary response and reflexes.
  • Then, using our medical equipment, check for any infections, ask about their pain on the pain chart, check their height, X-ray them, and then give them an eye examination.
  • Following the completion of the examination, you should now have a good basis for assessing the patient's current well-being; from this point, if required, prescribe the medications needed for the patient's recovery.

Please give some lore about your Medical Consultant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Leo Macarther was born and raised in LA and earned a degree from UCLA, double majoring in microbiology and epidemiology with a minor in anthropology. After graduating, he joined the CDC, where he traveled the world researching the deadliest viruses and the largest threats known to him at the time. Leo would devour any knowledge, which eventually led him down a path into the world of paranormal/anomalous biohazards, and soon enough, Leo was approached by a strange group of people who invited him to do something for humanity rather than be mocked by the scientific community. He accepted and was brought into the SCP Foundation, where his skills and talents became very useful when it came time to understand the nightmares that the foundation kept safely locked up.

His life in the Foundation was one excitement after another, rapidly rising through the ranks to senior researcher before joining the CRB. Leo was good at his job, running tests on SCPs such as SCP-087, SCP-966, and SCP-999, and trying to find new and interesting ways to test these SCPs. His mind expanded outwards, and now he seeks to understand subjects such as SCP-096 regeneration, potential ways to apply new medical techniques to the Foundation, new armor and weaponry ideas, and research into the origin of human consciousness. But as he conducted his research with his trusted mentor [Redacted], tragedy struck when he, [Redacted], and [Redacted] were kidnapped by the Serpent's Hand. Unfortunately, he was the sole survivor of the serpent's hand's ruthless attack and kidnapping. However, he still misses his mentor and hopes to continue her research where she left off, on a mission to ensure her death wasn't in vain. And now, with hundreds of ideas sprouting and his promise to finish [Redacted]'s research, he places his hand in the ring of the executive researchers.

Leo spent a long time as an executive researcher, struggling to enforce the research department's code of ethics. After some time, he applied and became an ECA, where he worked hard to ensure everyone adhered to the code of conduct. However, the loss of his mentor left him deeply unhappy. So he requested a demotion and left for field research, where he spent 2 years studying SCPs with MTF-[REDACTED], identifying and assisting in the containment of new anomalies. (I was in college and was too busy to play) After his time ended, he returned to Site-65 ready to continue his research and resume where he left off.
Now surviving as a Doctor in the medical department, Leo has found a place where he is deeply inspired by his work in medbay as a doctor he has decided to focus fully on his work as a doctor and wants to become a sr doctor so he can help train more medical personnel and help the site from the side where he can focus on helping keep people healthy and happy.
