What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
I am suggesting a reduction in the time it takes to interrogate using the interrogation tool. As of now, it takes 20 seconds to interrogate one card. A reduction from the 20 seconds, to 10-15, would be significantly more fitting

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
Not that I have seen.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
1- Reduced time interrogating D class during sweeps. Code 2s can be over much faster
2- Roleplay as a whole can move slightly faster as you wont have to sit for an unnecessarily long time to seize 1 card
3- Generally, an improvement on gameplay / roleplay flow.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
Only real negative effect would be the possibility that the tool could be misused. Though, I don't believe that would be a massive deal as the tool is usually restricted to jobs with decent levels / licenses. So misuse can easily be punished heavily.

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
Reducing the time it would take, would enhanced the pace and the flow of roleplay. Every second counts in a roleplay scenario. Though spending 20 seconds to seize a keycard feels excessive. A shorter duration would allow other players to be more engaged and focused on more meaningful interactions

You forgot that this is a MASSIVE buff to DCs and other forms of faction v faction gameplay. If you decrease the length of time it takes for keycards to drop in every instance of interrogation, it means that F will be able to get CI cards quicker, vice versa & same for GOC in all permutations of the prior. This reduces the risk of them being stopped during the act.

If it could be configured separately between cross-faction and not, then I'd be more supportive of it (i.e. it takes a different length of time to interrogate keycards off of D-Class than is does for say, F to take a card off of a CI (Which would also make logical sense because where tf is a D-Class gonna hide that thing? They're just in an orange jumpsuit)), then yes, I would agree with something like reducing the time to 10 seconds for D-Class and 15 for other instances (Although this would be subject to the whole thing of CI being able to flag onto D-Class and exploiting that - As well as being able to tell if a disguised person is CI just from the length of time it takes to interrogate them, which is also not good)

But I do agree that 20 seconds is a bit much. 15 should be fine...? But I feel 10 across the board would be too quick.

Suggestion Partially Approved

Hi @Sule Goodman ,

Thanks for taking the time to make a server suggestion.
The Content Team has chosen to partially accept your suggestion for the following reasons.

Accepted but tweaked to account for possible balancing
*Fast Interrogation Function*
There will now be a "Fast Interrogation" as a secondary function for the Interrogation Tool that allows someone to complete a 8 second keycard strip but with a chance of failure

Your suggestion will now be locked and marked as partially accepted.
