What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Adds the LVS repair tool to Foundation Technical Expert and Engineer

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
Not that I am aware of

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
Provides more chances for RP
Consistency between job loadouts

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
More clutter for what's more than likely going to be a rarely used thing by E&TS due to Nu-7 having their own repair tools
Techies being annoying with it

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
While it's unlikely to be used very often it still should be added because it could create some cool mechanic type RP situations for E&TS, and overall provides consistency with loadouts in general. (I do understand the last point doesn't matter a whole lot, as stated in the loadouts suggestions and balancing section of the frequently asked suggestions post, however I thought this would still be a good point to bring up as CI Techie, and GOC Engineer have the tool)

because most techs still minge a lot, I really don’t want to be hearing the blowtorch sound effect and seeing the particle effects all day in D-Block. They will 100% start blowtorching doors and then say “why can’t I fix the door” while doing it, and play dumb when you tell them to actually repair it. As you said, they most likely wont use it a lot anyway, if they need one for RP they can just call a GM.

I do think it’s a fun idea for tech roleplay. But it’s already hard enough to get most techs to actually do their job. Giving them something that makes noise, light, and sparks is just asking for it to get spammed constantly.

You can already see this on Surface, people run around spamming it all the time, at least on US.

TLDR: until techs behave better we should avoid giving them things that can be used to annoy people.

Honestly, it’s a solid idea for a mess‑around tool, but the hit to the entity count just isn’t worth it. A better approach would be asking a GM or staff to spawn it in when needed, since most players wouldn’t use it anyway.

If you really want this tool added, you should suggest a proper use case for it—ideally one that replaces an existing tool. That way you’re not increasing the entity count. You could even give the blowtorch an extra function to cover what the removed tool used to do. That keeps things balanced and avoids adding unnecessary entities while still giving players something useful.

People need to start including other people in stuff especially tech experts. Just because it’s known as a minge role doesn’t mean there isn’t anyone who uses the job correctly. There is bad people in every department or regiment.

This in general just makes sense and could create some good RP with techies working up there on cars. Even later on possible content could be added to help support modifications to vehicles which techies could help with.

There is plenty of tech experts who are cool people, just include them in what you do is all I really want. What drives away people trying to do somewhat serious stuff on ETS is being grouped in with the rest of ETS minges. I often make jokes as ISD about how techies are evil or whatever but I do try to include them where I can.
