What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
This suggestion aims to add more outputs to SCP-914 that are not weapon-related. Specifically, adding the following (or using it for inspiration).:
- TE-6 Hacking Device (TE-5 Fine/Very). This hacking device can be used to create a random hacking alert on the site for example. Something that isn't just "Hack level decreased by 1" or "More time", but that would be fine too if Content deems it.
- Syringe Gun (Chemical Injection Gun Fine/Very), allows syringes to be fired with some range and injected into the target. A good use case could be long range firing chemicals such as Anima, which I've seen used in interesting conflicts before.
- TE-4 from Coarse/Rough with TE-5
- Breaking down a chemical into its base components via Rough/Coarse in a vial/beaker
- Add different cuffs on 1:1 or fine, we have the whole pack to pick from
- Bandage becomes a field kit or medkit on fine/very and vice versa for rough. Might be a balancing concern so field kit might be better.
- Briefcase of Holding on Very Fine (low chance?). Allows it to hold items like an inventory or a weapon storage. If a Briefcase of Holding is placed into another one, it kills the player and nearby other players via black hole.
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
Not that I could find specifically regarding my details
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
More interesting research opportunities if new things were added such as newer anomalous items
More ways that these could be used both in roleplay and combat. It would be interesting to see how these interact with things like holds or dimensions.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
Balancing concerns
Dev time
Creativity
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
Right now SCP-914 is only a glorified weapons dealer and buff giver (on Fine or Very Fine with people). This would help actually start off the code base needed to make unique things come from it that could be rotated when a dev feels bored.
