What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Make Combat Medic fully whitelisted, rather than partially whitelisted as it currently is. i.e. make it so you can't job switch to CM unless you have the whitelist.

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
No.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
  • No more unwhitelisted CMs escaping their spawn and causing problems
    • Very easy to do, because they spawn between medbay and the armoury, so anyone trying to get into the armoury will let them out
  • No unwhitelisted players wasting CM slots

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
  • Literally none

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
There's currently no reason for unwhitelisted players to be able to spawn as a CM. CM tryouts are not done using the CM job, but instead the GSD Cadet job (due to its unlimited slots, spawning near KH, and making it possible to differentiate non-WL from WL players), so there is no use for them being able to flag on other than to ask for a tryout (they can do that on any other medical or other job).

There's no use for keeping it like this, and it's just annoying for people that have to deal with un-WL CMs running away, and potentially confusing for newer players trying to play as CM.

-To explain for the silly people:
Currently Combat Medic acts like the IA/DEA Whitelist, which is that you can flag on the job, but you don't have your equipment, like your gun or keycard.
This would instead make it fully whitelisted, similar to that of CL4 roles, and how you cannot flag onto them at all unless you have the whitelist.

Overall this seems like a good change, and I've seen tryouts occur where the person has to be flagged onto Combat Medic for it, but changing over to the Cadet doesn't sound like too big an issue.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
  • Literally none
I wonder - Would this change remove everyone's already existing Combat Medic whitelists? If it would, then it could be a negative, if not then eh, all fine.
Either way +Support good change

Suggestion Denied

Hi Zen,

Thanks for taking the time to make a server suggestion.
The Content Team has chosen to deny your suggestion due to the following reasons.

If a real combat medic wishes to flag onto the job in place of one requiring training, they may ask a staff member to flag them onto the job or to speed along the training process depending on if there are consultants or directors of medicine online available to train them. Unapproved jobs combat medics causing issues (akin to cadets and agents) may also be dealt with ic via jobbans or jail time or staff intervention if needed.

Your suggestion will now be locked and marked as denied.
