Content Suggestion Make Containment Units Whitelisted

What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
To remove the level requirement for SCU and instead make it a whitelisted job which can be given by a Captain+.

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
Not that I have seen.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- Less mingy Containment Units.
- Containment Units will actually do their job or risk their WL getting revoked.
- GSD leadership will have more control over who is on the job.
- People that main GSD will get to play SCU.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- People who dont play GSD a lot will not be able to play SCU anymore

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
The Security (emphasis on Security)Containment Unit in my opinion should be played by trusted people in GSD, a lot of the times people on SCU I've never seen before. Also a lot of SCU just ignore comms and do their own thing. I also think it should be exclusive to Gensec, so people have more incentive to play GSD.

What if people dont want to be in a leadrship position? Having SCU exclusive would probably encourage more people to play GSD to obtain it, aswell as allow GSD leadership to do more things with the SCU.

The only reason SCU was added as part of the GENSEC rework was because SSL wanted to give GSD a "taste" of E-11 and allow them to assist E-11 and/or performing duties and tasks similar to an mtf, before actually joining one. It was designed to be the "final step" in GENSEC before moving on and joining an MTF.

Making this whitelisted now completely defeats the entire point of the SCU role, and makes it now literally just an E-11 PVT role but with no requirements other that don't be special.

We already protested that GSD needs a CL3 whitelisted role and we got one (Sergeant), we dont need our *only* primarily SCP-fighting role to be whitelisted too, at that point it'll be easier to join E-11.

Also your point is stupid "become MTF", this suggestion is meant to improve GSD by giving them something cool, but no lets ignore gsd because uh...

Turning an existing role into something that's more annoying to obtain doesn't promote growth or make people want to join GSD. What they will do instead of having to submit a forum application or beg for tryouts for it they will instead just go join E-11 or another MTF. Adding an additional hurdle to a job that already has a license requirement makes no sense.
