What does this change/remove?
Makes the training keypads (aka the ones in Killhouse, CI Conscript room etc.) quieter. Preferably so it is in the range that if you can only hear them if you are within a reasonable distance of about 2 or so meters. This is to still allow someone to hear if you started the hack/are hacking IF THEY ARE CLOSE, while allowing people doing something else from being bothered by hacking sounds.
Right now, you can hear SS KH hacking from all of SS, in front of medbay and from a few more areas. CI KH can be heard from like half of CI base and a decent chunk of CI hill. This makes it so you can only hear it if you are in the same room, near the person hacking.
Has something similar been suggested before?
Couldnt really find anything similar.
Only thing on the same topic would be this one (https://civilnetworks.net/community/threads/keycard-scanner-training-flag.36211/), but thats talking about a semi-different thing.
Possible Positives/Negatives of the suggestion:
No more false Hacking at X location callouts
We've all been there. "Hacking at X? Wait no thats just someone practicing hacking." This removes this issue entirelly, as the only way you could hear the hacking from practicing is if you are in the same room, and atp its easy to tell its just practice.
Makes practicing hacking less annoying
Now personally this is a non-issue for me, but I can see how someone can get frustrated from the sound of others hacking while they are practicing themselves. So thats a plus ig.

While it may be hard to do, you accepted a suggestion for a flag to specify which keypads are used for trainings so that will hopefully make this easier.
Based on the Positives and Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted?
This is just a small QoL change that would be beneficial. And with the suggestion mentioned above being accepted it should be easy to do (hopefully). It just aims to remove the annoying part from hacking keypads while keeping their functionality in trainings/PTs etc. unchanged.
Also no more "Hacking in base?" which pulls every combative there followed up by "Its just the killhouse.".
