Why should we remove your ban from Discord? (50 words minimal): Recently I found out via the internet that with parental permission you are allowed to use Discord BUT with restrictions. Now I bet I have mentioned this on my last app but never gave evidence but this time I do. This also follows under the law of COPPA which states "The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) specifically aims to protect the privacy of children under the age of 13 by requesting parental consent for the collection or use of any personal information of the users. The Act took effect in April 2000 and was revised in 2013." So with this being in mind, I should be allowed to re-join.

Although I am not involved with this ban appeal, nor am I apart of the SCP Staff Team, I wish to point out that according to the Discord Terms of Service, you are required to be 13+ to be on discord. The COPPA law is a legal rule, not apart of the discord ToS.

Right off the Discord ToS, if he got parents consent then he is allowed

Hello Mase

Thank you for taking the time to make a ban appeal,

However unfortunately this has brought us to today in order to ensure we make the right decision for all parties, including those under the age of 13, as a result, we have decided that for the safety of younger people, that we will be implementing an age gate of 13 years old across the network. Unfortunately, this means we need to uphold your ban until you reach the age requirement.

This is a decision we should have made long ago and I do apologise that it has lead to this amount of confusion surrounding our services.

You are welcome to appeal your ban once you turn 13.
