Your in-game name: vlad

Your SteamID: STEAM_0:0:464734532

Ban Reason: MRDM A

Date of ban: 19/02/2025

Who banned you: Aspen, chillet

Ban length: 2 weeks

What will you do to stop this from happening again: Let me explain the situation first. To keep it short, as I saw it that LAV HQ was completely under fear RP because of the tank that we had on it. If you review the clip you can see how loud it is there, which I believe was the primary reason why I hadn't heard that there were over 4 people.

But regardless of that I will be more careful with my actions as a major. As I understand it, in the heat of the moment people that were in that situation had listened to me saying "shoot", which resulted in NATO unrightfully losing their HQ. Long story short I will be more attentive in these kinds of situations, making sure that because of me these kind of mistakes don't happen again.

Why should you be unbanned: I had a conversation with 2 seniors regarding this situation, I explained myself that there were 2 reasons why I shouldn't have been banned. First was that I had made a lapse in my judgment, I had fully believed that LAV HQ was under fear RP. I had no malicious intent, my end goal wasn't either killing that HQ or anyone around it, neither it was the shootout that followed after. 2nd reason was that I do not wield any command authority over 10th and its tanks. As I explained above I said "shoot" only because I was in full belief that the HQ was not complying with the fear RP scenario. The tank or the other people could have easily just not followed what I said. I would fully understand if it was a warning for something among the lines of "false fear RP" perhaps or anything like that, but not a MRDM ban.

I would also like to add, that as I understand it the ban decision was made by chillet, who wasn't present during or after the incident. I can understand how he came to the conclusion that I am at fault, but he wasn't there when I have fully explained myself to the 2 senior admins. I have no objections to the fact that I made the wrong decisions in that situation, however to ban me for 2 weeks after I explained myself fully even having support from the people involved on the opposite faction and the staff member taking the sit who stated he was only following through with the ban because of the super admin telling him he needed to ban me is far to harsh. I believe the appropriate outcome would of been for the tank we used to be removed, the NATO HQ to be restocked and we would have been removed from the situation, with me and the new player who actually fired the tank receiving warnings at most, especially for the new player who very clearly had no malicious intent and was merely following my instruction to shoot, which I can only apologize for and ensure I wont repeat again.

I was at this situation and it was very hectic, I was a flamer at the time ( Unsure if this is relevant or if a flamer can fearRP a lav) but regardless I did hear someone shout "SHOOT". I'm sure anyone in this situation would've just reacted and shot which I assume is what happened with Vlad. I don't think there was any intent from Vlad to purposefully break the rules, thus to me this seems like an unjust ban length and punishment. Further to this i think Vlad has proposed the correct course of what should've happened after this incident. He's a well respected player and there is little purpose to banning him for 2 weeks.

Further I want to add, during this chaos Vlad was not the only one to start attacking, I'm pretty certain nades got thrown at the lav first as it started to ram into our tank, I presume Vlad was just waiting for confirmation before shooting, which unfortunately in this instance was the wrong call.
