MilitaryRP Gamemaster Application

Introduction

The GM Team are an integral part of the server, responsible for excellent roleplay that is carried out on a day to day basis. Their main job is to ensure people are having fun on the server at all times, and to assist in creating roleplay situations and carrying out events.

GMs are expected to be friendly, fun, and to have a passion for the server to grow. You must be active in-game and on TeamSpeak, and be a vocal character with the ability to adapt to change. Most importantly, you must be creative!

Roles & Responsibilities of a Gamemaster

The most up to date Roles & Responsibilities of being a Gamemaster will always be found in the Gamemaster section of the staff handbook: here.
Gamemasters are expected to:
  • Frequently create (Ideally multiple per day as a team) Roleplay Situations - Spontaneous roleplay with little to no planning or preparation, for up to 30 minutes, to include any amount of players.
  • Occasionally run (On a weekly basis as an individual) Regular Events - A short event with a reasonable amount of planning and preparation, lasting anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours, with the purpose to include a reasonable portion or the entirety of the server’s playerbase, with or without an announcement.
  • On very rare occasions run (On a bi/tri-weekly basis as a team) Major Events - A longer event lasting multiple hours or days with a large amount of planning and preparation, with a large announcement and the goal to include every player on the server in the event.

  9. When creating your application, you must answer all of the questions listed within the application format. Don't add extra questions.
  10. If you're accepted into the Gamemaster Team, you should be extremely active on Teamspeak & Discord as this is how we communicate with other members of the team & Discord will be the main way we advertise events.

Gamemasters, Like Roleplay-Keepers are some of the most trusted people on the server & generally receive a lot of power & responsibility & importantly commands ingame, If you’re are caught abusing them you will be blacklisted from the GM team

Breaking these rules will result in either a denial or delays in processing your application.

2. Notes

It's very important you know the rules well before you apply for GM. Go here and read the rules! You will be questioned on these rules during the GM Interview, which you are required to go through after your application is accepted.

It is helpful to respond to comments of staff members or existing Gamemasters asking questions, but wait for a few verdicts to come in and then reply to all of them at once with a single post, rather than making a new post each time someone leaves a verdict. This avoids spamming up your application and helps the SA team to look through it.
