Why are you applying for Site Advisor?
To be honest, I know I might not get the position, but I still want to give myself the opportunity to try. I feel like I have reached a point where I want to do more for the site instead of just staying within the responsibilities of my current roles.I've been part of the Foundation for around three years, and during that time, I've learned a lot about how the site works and how different departments interact with one another.
I also want to be able to help newer players and make the site a better place for everyone. With my current roles, I feel like there is only so much I can do. I've been able to make smaller changes and help where I can, but I want to have a bigger impact on the site.
That's the main reason I'm applying for Site Advisor. I want to take what I've learned from my time in the Foundation and use it to help improve Site-65.
What makes you suitable for Site Administration?
I believe my experience within the Foundation has prepared me for a position in Site Administration. I currently hold one CL4 position within the Ethics Committee as an ECA. While I have only held this position for a little over three months, it has given me experience with responsibility, leadership, and working with people across different departments.Experience
I've been part of the Foundation for around three years. During that time, I've experienced many different situations and have learned how the site operates.My current position as an ECA has also given me experience working in a CL4 role. It has taught me how to handle more responsibility, communicate with different departments, and deal with situations that require a higher level of judgment.
Helpful
One of my biggest strengths is that I'm willing to help wherever I'm needed. Whether it's helping someone with an issue, working on paperwork, or staying late to finish something that needs to be done, I'm willing to put in the time.I don't expect everything to be handed to me. If something needs to get done, I'm willing to step up and help get it done.
Growth
I know my past isn't perfect, and I'm not going to pretend that it is. However, I believe I've grown a lot since then.I've learned from my previous mistakes and have become more responsible and mature over time. I believe the experiences I've had, both good and bad, have helped me become a better member of the community.
I believe that growth, combined with my experience within the Foundation, would allow me to perform well in a Site Administration position.
What are the responsibilities of Site Administration in RP?
Site Advisors are responsible for helping run the facility under the guidelines set by the O5 Council and Ethics Committee.They help make sure departments are following the rules, doing what they are supposed to do, and maintaining the standards expected by the Foundation. They also help ensure that different parts of the facility are operating properly.
Site Advisors can assist the Site Director with creating and maintaining documents that are needed for the site. They can also provide advice to the Site Director and other members of Site Administration about problems within the site and possible ways to improve them.
Overall, I see Site Advisors as people who help keep Site-65 organized, functional, and running properly while making sure the standards set by higher command are being followed.
Site Administration Character Lore
Last we saw Morningstar was after the SCP-9029 incident. Since then, he started noticing how many problems were happening around the site. Some departments were being mismanaged, while others simply weren't communicating with one another properly.His experience coordinating Medical and assisting during the 9029 crisis made him realize that many of these problems came from poor organization and communication.
Instead of simply reporting these issues to the Ethics Committee, Morningstar started trying to come up with solutions. One of his main ideas was to have the heads of different departments meet together and discuss the problems they were having, what could be improved, and how they could work better with one another.
These meetings gave departments a chance to bring up problems they were having with other departments. Instead of simply listening to complaints, Morningstar focused on finding actual solutions.
As time went on, the meetings started making a difference. Communication between departments improved, and Morningstar's efforts began getting noticed by Site Staff.
Eventually, people started noticing that an ECA was taking on responsibilities that would normally fall under Site Administration. This eventually led to someone recommending Morningstar for a position within Site Administration.
However, Morningstar began realizing that there was only so much he could accomplish as an ECA. He could identify problems, report them, and suggest solutions, but he didn't always have the authority to actually put those solutions into place.
A couple of weeks later, another small incident happened where multiple departments failed to properly communicate with each other. Morningstar helped resolve the situation, but afterward, he realized that the incident could have been avoided if some of the systems he had been proposing were already in place.
That incident made Morningstar realize that if he truly wanted to improve Site-65, he needed to be in a position where he could do more than simply recommend changes.
He wanted to be someone who could actually help put those changes into action.
This ultimately led Morningstar to pursue a position within Site Administration, where he would have a greater opportunity to use his experience and help make Site-65 a better and more organized facility.
