What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Moves comms from TeamSpeak over to Discord
Adds voice channels for every reg which everyone can view but u can only join if ur in the regiment (or SC for example).
It'd basically be like you can see your own reg's text channels and voice channels but from other regs u only see the voice channels.
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
Probably, my suggestion is a bit more concrete on how u could do it
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
+ accessibility for new players (far more new players have discord than teamspeak3)
+ everything in one place (more organized + discord more alive)
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- a bit of work to change over to discord (creating channels, deleting some others)
- According to some websites Discord has worse Audio quality than TeamSpeak
- everything in one place (more clogged --> might have to delete some obsolete/almost never used text channels)
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
If everything's in the discord then it feels more united, u can see instantly how many people are playing, don't have to seperately open TeamSpeak for that. Also it would help tremendously with keeping new players, I see so many quitting when being told that they have to join TeamSpeak just to join a regiment.
If the issue is the effort that is needed to switch over, I can help volunteer in creating the channels and structure.
Would appreciate it if we would discuss in this thread rather than an insta-rejection for it being an old idea. Maybe if people actually want to switch to Discord then we could have a changevote to see the people's opinion on switching.
